Looks like Lake Louise will be opening with 4 runs according to the facebook.
Bald Eagle > Wiwaxy > Easy Street is what it takes to complete a path from Glacier chair to the bottom. Add a run on the Sunny T and I'm guessing those are the four runs that will be open.
But still a nice 1,400' vertical to wake the legs up for the season.

Early season the data is often not complete, or kind of flaky. I noticed that the Fidelity station suddenly reset the snowpack to zero yesterday, and now it is showing only 18 cm, which is not what the first avy report says.
Goal: ski in the 2018/19 season
I was up at bow summit a few hours ago , maybe 45 cms at the parking lot. HArdly no base though. Bow summit wouldn;t be a meadow would it? will post photos soon

^don't try skiing at Bow Summit until there is a base. Parks has a minimum before people are allowed to ski there, same applies to Parkers ridge. Sensitive alpine meadows / floura etc.
lol so meadow yes , but illegal also yes , good to know

So, looking to get my 112RPs mounted in Canmore. Vertical Addiction was mentioned. Anyone know if they will know to use marine glue in mounting a carbon fibre ski?
"...if you're not doing a double flip cork something, skiing spines in Haines, or doing double flip cork somethings off spines in Haines, you're pretty much just gaping."
shafty85: maybe ask them when/if you drop the skis off? techs might not know, but if you tell them, they should be able to.
also gear up
also soul ski and ride in banff. what bindings?
Not to worry, soon enough it will snow more, and we'll get the inevitable cold snap and what is on the ground right now, instead of being a base will turn in to facetts and depth hoarHArdly no base though![]()

Vertical addiction sends skis to gear up for mounting. Wouldn't trust in the glue knowledge, be prepared to supply the glue.

Gear Up have a good reputation for dynafit mounts in Canmore (if that helps).
So when did ski enthusiasts stop mounting their own skis? We always did it ourselves, still do. It's not exactly brain surgery.
I think there was a thread in Tech Talk with some good advice.
Endure, keen to hear what you think of the Plums after you've skied them a while.
It's pretty easy to do with the Dynafit template available in tech talk. All the how to instructions are out there. Just practice on a garbage pair or 2x4 first.
^must have posted at the same time.
yup...been doing mine the past few seasons now. At $50 a mount for touring bindings it gets expensive with a quiver. I've been getting better accuracy, no need to worry about extra holes or fuck ups that the stoner tech didn't tell you about. So when did ski enthusiasts stop mounting their own skis? Best idea for mounting the guildes would be to keep going past revelstoke and bring them to kelowna! Love working with shinny things. JK, there should be some good shops, closer to you.
I've mounted a couple pairs of non-tour bindings, but at my friend's place with a drill press.. I'm a measly student now without any tools!
Dynafit/Plum mounting at Escape Route is only $35, so well worth the price for their high quality work.. hoping there's a similar store somewhere around here. haha Kelowna is a tad far unfortunately
and t2c, the front holes don't match up to dynafit (I think they changed their pattern this year?)
