^that's exactly why I have never been to a Lake Louise opening day. I have a pass there this year and still won't make an effort to go. It's not like your fighting for fresh or anything. Lining up for man made...n'ah.

Making turns anywhere is more fun than sitting at a computer posting on the internet.

What pass is getting dumped on? By Friday we're gonna be getting our first taste of witner. Serious dry upslope snow followed by cold. Looks like there's a decent base at the highwood pass already Too bad I'm in mcflatland. I WILL FUCKING BE there on the 28th though, or whatever the last day is.

Perhaps it is safe to assume when people mention the Pass it is meant to be Rogers Pass. I have never heard of people referring to Bow Summit, Kickinghorse Pass, or Highwood Pass as just 'the pass.' Just be careful that you or the people aren't referring to The Pas as that's not the one you want to be skiing in.

The Pas. Okay, that's actually funny.

Looking good on a lot of web cams this morning. Time to go for a walk in the snow!

Ahh, now you're reminding me of the "good ol days" back in ontario... Last christmas when I was home visiting, my mother in law asked if we wanted to go skiing at Mt St.Louis Moonstone. I politely declined

Ain't that the truth! I'd much rather be at Nakiska putting in laps rather than sitting here with a fucking ice pack. Getting crankier by the day.

So what did you do to your back? Nothing major I hope. Back problems are scary stuff.

LL is reported to have 20+ cm in the next week.
My pass says the I can give 20 bucks off to anyone who gets a day pass. More than happy to give it away.

Chronic neck pain that is usually nothing more than minor irritation / stiffness. I was working at getting rid of it all and strenghtening it while at work and may have overdone it a bit. Got home, was getting sore and then we carried skis and gear in to Robertson which set it off. Couldn't move my head at all until Wed. Now i'm trying to get it good enough to head up to work so I can get these shifts out of the way for skiing.

Nakiska was actually a lot of fun today, better than I expected. The line got to 3/4 people ahead MAX and the snow wasn't too icey until later in the day. No rocks and basically no kids. It was nice getting some speed and just giving'er on an opening day on some steeps, rather than avoiding all the kids and crowds at LL.
