the event blogger job reminds me: does anyone know if the LL lowdown will be coming back for the season? they didn't skip the summer last time and i'd really hate to lose this resource. that person's blogs were the best.

KH was $600 in spring for this season. I'm hearing a lot of bitching and complaining in Golden that the price went up. Everyone was forewarned that this was going to happen and they're still disgruntle. I tried. Apparently KH is still trying to work out some reciprocal deals with other resorts, I'll be curious to see who makes the list. COP or Rabbit Hill?

Damn I saw the reports of active space weather earlier in the day but thought it had let up enough by nightfall to no longer be worth staying up for. The one a few weeks ago was decent too though:

    Worst post/actual-good-skiing ratio thread ever.

Hopefully our early season will be better than last year's, and hopefully, we can have a repeat of this kind of April :

^Damn, no snow here yet, only encountered fog at 2200m in the Selkirks. Today was worse, felt like summer was kicking into gear again.

Robertson glacier. Watch out for a few crevasses on the left as you go up early on...there's another spot half way up to watch for also but it is a popular spot for early season turns. If you're not familiar with glaciers, keep in mind that early season after snowfall is the worst time to travel on them from a slot stand point. Thin coverage can barely cover some just enough to hide them. Might need crampons and an axe to get up the tongue.

Yeah figured that with the early season snow. im not too familiar with glaciers my self, but if any one is game and doesn't mind giving me a crash course im always up for turns. Supply of after ski beers included.
