Nice link CA. If anyone is going let me know I need some junior shin guards but I won't be down that way until next week.
There does seem to be some solid gear there (dukes etc.)

Move along nothing to see here.
Not as much stuff as I was expecting. I plan on going back on Friday for some last-minute deals on stuff I really don't need.
Lots of ski tuning equipment.
Doug, if you have something I would be interested. I am down next week for Freshtival with Friday night late show tickets.

^ sure looks like it. That was my first thought aswell.
Eldo's fearless weather forecast says up to 40 cm of snow high up in the front range by Thursday evening. Might be some turns somewhere in Kcountry the next few days.
(or not.)![]()
mainly just Kuu sports wax, file guides, small rotor brushes.
smith goggles and glasses
lots of Auclair gloves
lange WC150 boots for $460
look pivots 14 for $450
50% off today (then 60 then 70%)
Well then... if anyone heading there happens to pick up a few to many extra edge and base guides, I'd happily take them off their hands whenever I'm further north. Same goes for cheap whatever wax.
Edit: We're talking actual file guides, not them crappy pocket ones?
Life is simple. Go Explore.
Freezing level is going to be too high today. Carry on with summer.
ssv cams show some minor accumulation on standish, but it looks wet. maybe will turn tonight.

Good. Hopefully we get a few good dumps of moist stuff.but it looks wet
My wife drove the Parkway this morning, thick wet slush at Icefields and Bow as well as an enormous Grizzly just north of Bow.
Move along nothing to see here.

hummm, +6'C and snow level falling to 2000m today. and Saturday I have to go to calgary that evening. Might do a detour and check out highwood pass...
Most sites for oil and gas have a safety meeting at every crew change, and every time the job changes. Each time has to be documented. All the crew have to fill out hazard id's every shift. Alot of them also have to sign off on hazards that clearly state they have to use their PPE included fall arrest etc. Some sites if you are even caught without safety glasses you'll get in shit. Not all, but most. The ones that are more slack are typically the smaller companies.(or like most oil sites, construction sites, etc) would get stuff like this all the time?
so what SSV got is not that uncommon? just this SSV watch is just advertising it?
found some stats in Ontario: http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/...s/enforcement/ (scroll to "Orders Issued". the numbers are in the tens of thousands, no idea if that's normal or they're cracking down)
something for BC: http://safetyauthority.ca/page/april...cement-actions (between April/June 2011 issued 44 compliance orders).
does not seem all that uncommon, although I have no idea whether the orders distinguish severity of the incident. walking on a roof in winter conditions without protection sounds relatively more severe than being in a construction site without a helmet.
ya, kinda seems like SSV watch is just a marketing place to bitch. Wonder if it is ex-employes? enviro groups? who is behind it?
Memo to Sunshine staff: Do not do unsafe things in plain view of a web cam.
