that auction should be good fun. lots of bindings and boots left as of this morning. no one had bit on the big dynastar legends for 300. clothing was mostly XL and XXL. only a couple pairs of goggles left. lots of gloves/mitts.

Rae Glacier....go git it. Maybe it's dense enough to keep you from thrashing the skis. Don't forget to buy p-tex.

Didn't see any Dynastar Legends there around 3:45 today. I picked up a pair of pivot 14's for $113 with tax and there were two pairs left. Also about 4 or 5 pairs of PX15 racing bindings for $329 - 70%, so even less than the pivots.
Goal: ski in the 2018/19 season

i suggested to wifey to go frolic in the white stuff, but she said we'll have 8 more months to do it, so no.

i honestly miss new mexico right now. early october snow was close, and it was deeper than most rockies february stuff, yet one had sunshine for an entire winter...

october 27th, 2006, wolfie creek (i'm only bringing it up because they got 90+cms last night and are opening tomorrow):

And your avy gear, and a partner?

That would be my input. The early season snow has a tendency to peel off that glacier is big, wet waves.

Heh, F2F, you need to get a vacation home back in NM, so that maggots can crash there when for these early-season storms!

Real estate has got to be cheap down there right now.

I was tempted by those pivot 14s, but I bailed on them.

Fresh skiff of snow on both sides of the 22 today and a healthy dose on the Three Sisters above Fernie. Nothing at the resort.

Eldo, i know where i want my vacation home -- Pagosa Springs. 10 minutes to wolf creek, reasonable distance from silverton, telluride, taos (for the two days a year the snow is good there). hot springs, plentiful sunshine

if only that pesky 180 days rule wasn't in place...

Up to 25cm of snow in the trees around Highwood pass since Thursday. As this new snow melts over the next few days expect there to be lots of rockfall. Stay clear of areas with steep terrain overhead.

Based on that footage, I'd say you still haven't found the trail head for the Rae, but who cares....

    Nice job!

I really really need to find these places. I am going to do some research and hopefully head out there at the end of the month (snow conditions pending).
maybe if I check here around then you guys will be around and able to show a newbie around? (newbie as in new to that area, not new to snowsliding)
