"One season per year, the gods open the skies, and releases a white, fluffy, pillow on top of the most forbidding mountain landscapes, allowing people to travel over them with ease and relative abandonment of concern for safety. It's incredible."
it's not a girl you're listening to, it's a software program. there's very little of her own voice in that song.
again, as in the original post, no judgement is passed. although you may change your mind after reading this:

edit for one more vid from these guys. i think they've cornered the "daddy's rich and i want to be a popstar!" market:
^^^^^^^
The scary stuff is that the above songs are only marginally worse than some "legitimate" hits.
right. autotune killed music.
Nah, lots of pop music was crap before autotune... lots of pop music will be crap after it's gone. But, I think a more serious case can be made that there's more crap out there nowadays due to the relative ease and parsimony in music's creation and distribution. Twenty years ago "Friday" costs exponentially more to record. Maybe dad doesn't spring the bill in that case.
There are pretty girls of majority age making good music out there as well. A friend of mine, Lyndsay Wojcik. No auto tune, no rich daddy support. She writes her own tunes.
Once her video passes the 11 million hits mark, then I'll be able to sit back and say "maybe people aren't so fucking retarded after all." It looks like she only needs 10,999,728 more views.
(I don't mean this to be at all disrespectful of your friend; her music seems fine and I truly hope she does well with it)
