    Nah, lots of pop music was crap before autotune... lots of pop music will be crap after it's gone. But, I think a more serious case can be made that there's more crap out there nowadays due to the relative ease and parsimony in music's creation and distribution. Twenty years ago "Friday" costs exponentially more to record. Maybe dad doesn't spring the bill in that case.

    There are pretty girls of majority age making good music out there as well. A friend of mine, Lyndsay Wojcik. No auto tune, no rich daddy support. She writes her own tunes.

    I don't disagree with you at all. Unfortunately the music of our culture is becoming increasingly homogenized. No one appreciates variety and talent anymore.
