Here is a great link this guy from Washington posted in the slide forum. Explains the current pattern very well.

    Looks really promising for us.

Skin track is in to the ridge. Do yourself a favor and get up there to spread some of the cream cheese around with your rockered tool of choice. Seemed to be about 8" in the last 24 near the top. Getting colder and coming down hard when I left at noon. Tomorrow is gonna be sick.

Lots of whumpfing up top near the rocks. Still low tide off the ridge too (great coverage on Bronco/Ptarmigan though). Choose your lines carefully out there!

Skied the east face sat., 18" ish on nothin. Great pow but a lot like minesweeper. The trail out was rugged to say the least. I saw four people walking out 1 or 2 miles above the lake the trail was so bad, but doable/super sketch. Trail below lake not as bad, should be somewhat better though.

It is indeed getting good up there, quality snow even my B Squads can float on! Really nice bouncy turns.
As far as an early opening, I'd rather have it to myself for a while longer, but I wouldn't be surprised by it.

They'll do it if there's enough snow... and if Dopplemayer can get their shiite together.
I've heard that Randy is pretty disappointed with their lift installation.
They haven't put in the overtime hours like the BB boys did with slushmans, so Bridger lift is a little behind schedule.
They still have to install the loading carpet and do a bunch of phone wiring.

I was up there this morning as well. Pretty schweet turns!

Sure has been nice. Pnut and I went up the other day and it was great. Too fun for pics really, but I managed to snap a few. Perfect snow, couldn't ask for any better right now!

Like taking a little trip back in time.

    Pnut skimmin' some milk:

It was really good fun and that's all I know.

No bump after today's gangbang? You all must be worn out or drinking or something. Party on, can't wait for tomorrow.

MildWille gets in on the action:

Such a fun run that was:

    Later buddy:

Wille and I had a great run down Broom Closet/Test Face to finish the day. So pumped on how good it was. Too good to mess around more with the camera. Cheers!

FWIW hidden was skiing well on thursday, but tons of wind loading and cornice development made for conditions that should keep you on your toes. With todays wind, I would be wary of anything exposed off the ridge.

Pretty frigid up there this morning... prob. around zero at the ridge.
Lots of wind on exposed stuff. Trees keeping things sheltered, but the top 3 inches cracked readily on anything exposed. Watch your asses as it loads up, boys!
Pretty fucking epic early season turns.

Rumors amongst ski patrolmen doing training at the lodge was possible early opening... maybe open after thanksgiving, then closed the week after, then full time the next weekend. Keep your ears tuned for some more news on Monday.

I agree on both points. Sweet skiing in places, but now some weird mid mountain winds from every direction and the horrible East wind was sustained 50 mph at the ridgetop. Really just peeling the snow off the top couple hundred feet. COLD! It is good that it's getting skied hard now. Bronco area would just be huge drift features when they open otherwise.
