Just expanded my fleet and added an XR650R to the mix to keep the XR600R and the CRF250x company.

    '54 BMW

    I restored this '54 BMW R68 over a 5 year period. This was BMW's first 100mph machine.

    Rode the smokies

Moved to Savannah, Ga. and rode the smokies on the way down. Deals Gap was closed but rode just about everything else including the moonshiner run to GA. Highway 28. Fun times.

I lived in Savannah last year. Unfortunately as good as the track day access is down there, in all my searches I never found any decent roads. Make sure to check out the abandoned race track on Hutchinson Island. Just be sure to only make a lap or two and book it before the cops come!

Nice, Roebler road right here, my BMW club rents it once a yr.

I might need a sportier bike to take advantage of the tracks.

    Ducati 1198?

Plenty of track ready SV650's out there for really cheap!

Roebling is a pretty nice track. I think there are 5 or 6 other tracks around within 5 hours as well. Barber is the one I wanted to go to the most, but I've yet to make it there.

Took Gramps out in an effort to convert him to the moto world. Think it might be working.

Gramps on his first moto ride, jeans, no pads, no gloves, ski helmet. JONG? Yup, but he had fun.

Ended up having a beer a month or so ago next to a guy who owns a vintage BMW shop in the city. Cool dude.

almost reposted all my pics, but then I realized I already contributed to this thread last year...

living over in Portugal now, I didn't get to bring any of my bikes with me. as luck would have it, a friend on theGSResources had an extra to give away , so now I am the proud owner of a 1998 BMW K100LT

good story there, I was given the bike, provided I could get it out of the fellow's friend's shed in Scotland. so I flew up to Glasgow to retrieve it, register it in the UK, MOT it, and then I rode it all the way home, thru England, over the channel on the ferry, thru France into Spain and back home to Lisbon! she's the newest bike I've ever owned!

but alas, I have no self restraint, so I'll repost my favorite bike too, far, far away in a friend's shed.

nice looking beemer restoration there highrustler!! was that the stock config of the pipes? I've seen that done before on a Zundapp! great look!

I saw this thread on the top of TGR and though you guys might appreciate this photo. I just got back from the Kullu valley in India where we were using old Royal Enfields to access Himalayan ski touring. Here's a photo of aataylor on the way to ski a 5200m peak. Riding with the full overnight bags was pretty exhausting.

if you're interested there are more photos from that day HERE, but that is the last of the bike photos.

I owned a blue 400F which I used for endurance racing. That was a sweet bike.Perfectly balanced and just fast enough to keep your attention. I sold it and teamed up with some guys racing a Laverda Jota. That was when I discovered I didn't like going 150mph on a bike.

Yeah, that's why I got it. Quite frankly, I've ridden almost all the single track in Utah, and that leaves ATV/fire roads, which this bike is great on. Then when you get on boring gravel, you can punch it out at 70mph all day long, day after day.

I'm getting a crack smoking 3.9 gallon seat tank too......

I just got home from the Houston supercross. That, along with this thread are not helping my attempts to hold off on getting another bike.

And that is a sweet looking Bultaco.

    And its new stable mate:

I'm pretty sure skiers make better motorcycle riders.

    Somebody's got money. That's cool.

I really really want a Honda Interceptor before it gets discontinued, I don't like the looks of the new VFR so much. Don't think the $ thing is going to happen in time though.
