So does anyone who orders a beer at any Olympic venue.... nothing on tap but but Canadian, Export and Coors Light.

Cheryl Bernard just choked away a gold

up by 2 in the 10th, allows Sweden to tie it up

has the hammer in the 11th, allows Sweden to get 3 in the house and is forced to try a double (which she misses)

10th vs China, 10th & 11th vs Sweden: the worst played by Bernard that I have ever seen

Brodeur should have told her that trying to play Hero doesn't work.

molson is the offical beer of the olympics ,they werent too happy that weasel house was sponsored by whistler brewing ,they wanted to be the supplier and they didnt want to give us free or even a deal on kegs of beer since they figured they had already paid enough, so apparently thje shit hit the fan and it went very high up in Vanoc

so try and put on yer fucking race without the weasels who work for beer... it was pointed out the weasels are a private club and not in any way part of the olympic dream

ps:huge thanx to several americans who in the true olympic spirit picked up "the drill bitch" (don't touch her drill) after her knee had completely given out and carried her home to the condo

Molson owns the Rickards, Creemore Springs & Granville Island (local to Vancouver, no less) brands.... so they could at least offer up one as a choice.

Again, since there is no dedicated thread... Men's Slalom is under way. Live feed can be found on http://www.fromsport.com/. Ted and Bode start 16 and 17 respectively.

Tenth end I thought Cheryl just let her adrenaline amp her shot, just like Tom Watson at the Open Championship last year. End 11 was an ill-timed choke.

Before each race there was an hour and a half course inspection. The SERIOUS racers would use the whole time and visualize the course.

Before the race to get the course ready there was a team of Bootpackers - yes, they are walking with small steps down the course to help smooth it out, then the slippers came in behind them.

Above this they were dousing the course with water.

Watched the game in village square this afternoon and what a great time! The crowd was electric, and the Blue Rodeo concert afterwards was awesome. A very good way to finish off the games.

I feel like I really missed out by not taking the trip to Vancouver and joining in the revelry. I should have sacked up and taken the time off work

Fuck that. Watching in Whistler Village with a chaser of Blue Rodeo would have worked. Bet there are a couple of drunk people there.

    Thanks.

It seemed like God, the Universe and maybe the Force was with us. This was icing on the cake. 14 Gold Medals. Team USA played with a lot of heart and It was a game I will never ever forget.

Vancouver 2010 was magic in spite of some of the problems.I think we finally woke up and showed the world our Canadian Pride.

Just overheard while watching the closing ceremonies,

“Captain Kirk, & SCTV; quirky closing. Amusing but weird.”

    “More weird than quirky. WTF!”

"What am I watching?! This is bizarre...but I like it...OMG a giant beaver and flying moose.....”

".....Who thought of this?... I don't care...ceremony planners said f*** it and went for it. Weird. hahahaha. Look at the beaver. hahaha. The world is scratching their heads saying WTF..."

Grandpa says, "I don't know, things are pretty wild." Grandma says, "I don't know what to think.?"

“Oh no, Nickleback. God they are awful.”

“Oh thank god they (Nickleback) are done.”

    “Argh… so obnovious (Hedley)”

What the fuck was that!?! Downhill right after Shatner.. Cheesy, tacky and embarrasing. Every time the camera panned to shots of the athletes the look was solid disbelief mixed with pure embarrasment.

It still had it's good parts.. Neil Young was a solid win, as was the "fixing" of the cauldron at the beginning.
