    Big Mountain Ripper

I'm looking for a new pair of skis, They will be mounted with Dukes, & I want something min 115 underfoot. They need to be able to ski top to bottom conditions. I have skied the JJ and fin it a bit small for my size. Im 6'-1" & 225 lbs. I have tried the JJ's & like the way they perform but on a real big day, I think they are too small for me, not enough float. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Prior Overlords is what your looking for. Since your in Van stop by Whistler and check out the factory, they make good shit.

If you like JJ's check out Lhasas from PM gear.

    Oh and search JONG

    195 Motherships (111mm)
192 PM Gear Big Bros (114.5mm)
    191 ON3P Wrenegades (113mm)

Those 3 immediately come to mind when I think big mountain ripper, but they don't meet your 115mm minimum (does a couple mms really matter?). PM Gear Lhasa Pows, ON3P Billy Goats and 195 Super 7s would also would also work, and are more similar to the JJs. I haven't skied that Surface, but have heard good things.

190 Bibby is exactly what you're looking for. 118mm in the waist with just enough camber and plenty of stiffness to handle all conditions from deep pow to firm crud to hardpack. And I weigh almost as much as you.

Fatypus D-Sender potentially. New Dynastar Big Dumps, though they are close to impossible to comeby already in Canada I know

We need a "cool" index to go along with the flex index. Get on that.

The flex index has become irrelevant, if the ski does not have at least 10,000 mentions on TGR it's not cool enough thus it must suck. We should have Google do an analysis on all posts and put a number of posts to each ski.

2nd on 195 S7, great all mountain ripper
or theres always the big daddy that just got listed, Ralves is a ripper so it muxt rip, but you must be able to rip too, hence my preference for the super 7
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I am similar in size to you & had some S7's & found them too small.
Moved onto the Lhasa 196 & am happy with the change. Completely different ski performance wise.

You need to be more specifc. Do you want something that is going to float super well or something that is going to crush? JJs are floppy noodles compared to some, Atomic Atlas, Rossi RC112, Dynastar Big Dump, Fatypus D-Sender, Line Motherships for example. These skis all ski big and will go hard but also float pretty well (from what I've heard, haven't skied the Atlas or Big Dump myself). But you want more float: Pontoon, Kuro, Hellbent, Salomon Rocker, A-Lotta even. More floppy but will get you around. Super 7 sounds like it maybe that middle ground for great float but still a hard charger.

Maybe use the search function too.

Im looking for a ski that I can ride everyday, that will bust thru crud, carve on the groomers, be able to handle a bit of ice if need be, float on powder, turn in tight trees or in narrow chutes, and tour in the slack country. Is that too much to ask?

So your question is: what ski will be awesome on everything all the time?

    Seriously?

Maybe my troll-dar has gone askew, but you're retarded.
    Merry Christmas.
