Hey guys, I'm looking for a set of look/rossi demo bindings to put on my On3p's so I can get other people out on them. http://tetongravity.com/forums/showt...22#post2288022

For people in or around Bozeman I could definitely work out a trade with some FKS 155's that are currently on them, or I can just sell them outright.

    It isn't worth the cost.
The up side is that the sidecountry is getting skied enough for the compaction to help stability, but not so much that it doesn't get refreshed with a little snow. It's been a trade off, and there are some unfortunate issues that will never be resolved, but there is great opportunity as well.

As far as the rope drop frenzy, hopefully something can be worked out. As I said about the edges and elbows, I feel like trying to be the chill one in that situation is just going to cause a worse cluster fuck. Too bad that the new terrain opening up isn't ever going to spread out the crowds when it counts. I can however understand why they can't really have people over there in zero viz blower. It will probably never happen that way. I personally dislike the nose to butt ridge hike days way more than my experience at Slushmans the other day though. I'm adapting.

I just don't understand why Slushie's can't open with storms to smoothe out the flow of people, AS INTENDED. It has yet to happen. And last Friday wasn't exactly zero-viz, storm greybird, it was quite sunny - there just was no avy control being done over there, with "winds" as the excuse this time.

you talkin a ropedrop goin from PK to slushmans...? /newlift jongQ

this sounds like the highT to me though...?
(with the rental poles I rock I prob woulda left it for a lap to stay ahead of the hundred...)
The line up Saturday was crazy! I had the hole shot coming out of the top gate and starting traversing and came to a log and jumped it - the landing was dirt and I got my pole stuck in the dirt and I kept going. Shit. I turned around to get it but I had to wait for about 100 people behind me to jump off the log - with lots of scared wild looks on their faces. So I couldn't get the pole for quite a while - eventually a couple of people crashed in the landing bringing the line to a halt, and one of them got the pole for me.
perhaps bb's learning also- like maybe more 'trollers needed to get things rollin for the masses sooner...? /cyberspeculation

Base- Yup, two gates along the old South Boundary...one at the "unofficial" old "gate" to Slushman's( bottom of Boundary Chute), one further down where the backcountry gate was the last few years (now a rope). There were well over 100 lined up at the upper rope by 9:35, maybe 20 or so at the lower rope waiting for the 10:00 am opening( Slushie's runs 10-2:30)...I'm sure the numbers swelled at both ropelines by the 10 am chaos...I know they did at the lower. Had a good run with the Blur down Bull Chute last Friday...your name was mentioned as we were thinkin' of you!

I don't think the patrol is large enough to do all that control in a morning, or to then babysit both the ridge/resort & the expansion. I don't think its going to be in the cards any time soon.

fez, Boodles, Starky's and the Rockin' R exploded this morning, seeding a large Bridger Bowl Cloud. The cloud-seeding is speculation.

    Vid from today looked nice.

I'm going to continue mourning the loss of Starky's breakfast.

yeah, i heard about that. i was in a meeting this morning, we had some folks from bozeman dialed in. one woman was working from home because she was sick and said 'whoa, i just lost power'. i made a comment about snow storms in bozeman. a few minutes later i got a instant message from a co-worker telling me about the explosion.

    pretty crazy shit for sure.

have fun up there guys and save some for me, will ya?

so... the last two days at Bridger...
    *jizz in my pants*

Schlasmans was freaking amazing today... even with the long lift line. I hope all y'all mags were up there to enjoy it.

Oh, and I took a crappy picture of the little map they hand out at the bottom of the lift now, for anyone interested:

Went up today and hunted for scraps leftover from the frenzy.

Not too stoked on the sidecountry with what's going on out there now:

Hope nobody went for a ride in any of those!

So we poked around looking for a few fresh turns.

    P nut horsing around:

One of the three seconds that I wasn't gaping it today! (Fun three turns prior to this frame had me stoked)

This sequence would have been awesome in pow, but P nut plays the hand he's dealt:

    That's all folks.

    Wow. Great morning!!!

The highlight for me? My daughter's first Snowflake lap!!!!

She had no interest in riding in the pack, but it didn't matter to me. This was just the first of what I know is going to be many great days with a new ski partner!

And to top it off, I got in one run just for dad. And it was deep.

Well fuck me, that was fuckin great. Seconds and thirds Monday and Tuesday.

Stuckathunter-I'm heading out Tuesday and will be looking for some goods. You're welcome to join me.
