FWIW -- 5'9" 150lbs 306mm BSL. I bought the 183 stiff demos from Marshal last season and got about 5 spring days on them. I just screwed some solly's into the existing holes and this put my boot center about 3mm BEHIND the line. I thought they skied great, just get forward, angulate and enjoy. I like to ski fast, but not all the time and the 183's were able to make all radius turns for me in conditions from hard morning groomers to afternoon corn to slush off-piste. So if you're on the smaller side I would NOT automatically go 1cm+ forward as suggested by an earlier poster. Great for him that they work w/ that mount but not everyone will be happy w/ that setup. Having said all that, I think most people will be happy anywhere from the line to +0.5cm...

So we'll be shipping the 183s the first two weeks of December, rather than now, as we had been led to believe. Sorry for the delay. This has convinced us that we will make the 183s in the US from now on.
Thanks for the update mang- keep 'em coming!

BTW, how's the knee looking for this season? Just curious, as my buddy recently informed me he's finally going to be ready to rock after a botched landing cost him an ACL, MCL & PCL almost two years ago- Stoked about that! Thank God for spare parts from dead people, eh?

Seriously. I may die of a stoke-induced heart attack. Those bases need to be on something cold & windblown and I don't mean my ex's soul.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread, really. I think I'm going +4mm, i'm a bit light in the ass. Christ on a bicycle, I can't wait to mount these babies...

Knee is re-fukked. Hurt the mensiscus riding bike and am going in for an MRI soon and then weigh the options. ACL was a piece of cake. Bummer is, I was holding off on a rotator cuff/bicep tendon repair when I did my knee and just as I started getting ready to deal with the shoulder injury, I re-did my knee. Looks like I'm down until it all heals. So you can bank on a record winter.

Sorry about the delay on the 813s. Hate it when my friends make us look bad...

Damn! Sorry to hear about the knee and the other shit- Jeez, you sure are tough on the 'ol chassis!

Fugghettabout the 183s dude, we won't have a base to ski those babies on until then anyways- getting them before that is for pure foldling joy. You'd only look bad if they weren't worth the wait, which is obviously not the case.

So, everyone who's posted reviews so far about the 183s - Are you on the stiffs or the softs?

I'm thinking I'm going to trade my 179 softs in for a set of the 183 stiffs. Thanks!

Since this got bumped, I might as well add my thoughts. I picked up some 183 stiffs last season and I've been on them around 30 days or so. I generally start skiing them 3 or 4 days after a storm as they're a great hardpack/everyday ski. I started off on the line and thought it was way too far back. Since then, I sized down my boots by a cm and slid the heel forward which puts me at +.5. It's better, but I still have trouble getting over the tips. It just doesn't feel like there's enough tail. I'm really thinking about moving them up another cm to +1.5.
