    Nice, I found a Sherpa

BigDog.Looks like he might need some crampons.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

I didn't have sound on the computer I'm at, but I am thinking that I can now pack a dutch oven and 320 lbs of bacon into the bc.
    Nothing clever to say.

Animals were harmed in the making of this film.

It is funny that they came up with a robot that moves just like a dog/horse. Next they should film it chasing a chew toy, around a corner, on a hard wood floor.

And DARPA will be the end of us all.

I'm thinking maybe you only have to feed Big Dog while he is working for you. I need the version that can find its way back to a GPS meeting point. I don't want to ski with that mutha behind me!

Come to think of it -- it is powered by a gasoline engine, so is probably an ORV to the forest service, and not allowed on most trails or in wilderness areas. Now, if you put a dog-like head in front of the radiator, and teach it to bite folks who give it a kick, maybe Big Dog could pass as a companion animal?!
It's hard to wag your tail when it is tucked between your legs.
