I enjoyed this. Wanted to see more of those fish being brought to shore but this gets the jones going. Nice job.
My bro in law and I talked about doing a documentary on "extreme" surfcasting and the characters involved. The idea didn't get much beyond the beers/ bone stage of the slide-in camper but we had a good time planning it. We were gonna get spancered and follow the fish starting from the Chesapeake Bay area. (good idea right mush? I want in..:-) How about those nuts that float out in wet suits beyond where anyone else can cast, then proceed to hook on to some fairly large stripers. Who's reeln who in? We met a few worthy characters.

Thanks, glad you liked it. If I showed all the fish come to shore you'd see I can't catch keepers!

...and yeah, those skishers are a little crazy. For the others not familiar, these guys put on wetsuits and fins in the middle of the night and swim 1/4 mile off Montauk, or wherever, and drift live eels for big bass. I have a hard enough time wading around in the surf at night. Could you imagine a seal popping up next to you in the middle of a dark night??

Or being caught in the middle of a big school with fishing bumping into you non-stop without being able to actually see it happen? double

Yeah, I've been out to the beaches for some scouting and I'm itching to hear the reel screaming. I hope I can get some footage again this year, but the wife and I have a daughter on the way (May 8!!!!!!!!!!!) so who knows...
