    My serious suggestion is that if you don't have to drive up there on Fri nights and down on Sun evenings, then Tahoe is fine - I like Squaw the best. But, if you're skiing there and doing it on weekends, your nuts. It is literally 3.5 hours from my front door in SF to the front door of the Rustler and on Southwest it cost about what it costs me in gas to take my Suburban to Tahoe.
    i have 2 points
    1. can't you do the same thing flying into reno.
    2. just wondering, does sr-210 ever close when they get, say, 4 feet of snow.

    Man, none of you hosers is giving it up for Royal Gorge. That place is awesome, so many groomed runs. Look at this:

    * More than 9000 acres of skiing terrain
    * An annual snowfall exceeding 600 inches
    * The largest groomed track system in North America (308km)
    * Ninety impressive trails
    * Four user-friendly surface lifts
    * Two overnight lodges: Rainbow and Ice Lakes Lodge
    * A spacious day lodge with first class facilities
    * The world's largest grooming fleet
    * Fifteen kilometers of snowmaking
    * Eight rejuvenating warming huts
    * Four refreshing trailside cafes
    * Several stimulating Inn to Inn trails
    * A base elevation of 7000 feet

    How can these facts lie? Royal Gorge is by far the best ski resort in Tahoe.

The Chutes are pretty damn fun and there are some fun cliff drops in there (I was young so not that high).
    The Chutes were closed until a few years ago. So,.. you poached?

    Soda Springs is the best. Tubing, sledding, a snow carousel - what more could you ask for?

    How about Kreitler, McConkey, Gaffney? Do their chicks have fake tits? Or do they also break the Squaw mode?

    Perhaps they can answer that for you. Lel's a good friend, so I thought I would chime in.
