Oh and I suppose Neville Chamberlain was a good PM because all the other countries in Europe like Germany had favorable ratings of him but Churchhill was not because his unfavorable rating with other countries in Europe like Germany and Russia and Italy was low.

No not at all, GW isn't even a shadow of Churchill. I'm just comparing how the Germans probably loved Chamberlain and hated Churchill, just how the Islamic militants and their supporting populations like Indonesia hold much more favorable ratings of leaders that would leave them alone like Kerry, Gore and Clinton verses a leader like GW who is just going to kill the fuckers regardless of how many people it pisses off.

So what? Do you think Fox wouldn't gladly accept an award for news reporting even though they generally dance the line between reporting and creating? The point is valid, Michael Moore may be biased in his approach but he's no more biased than the rest of the nonsense just a different perspective.

I don't need no stinking charts to tell me G.W. is a dick wad. The man and his admin. have fucked this country to pieces.

The people who voted for him the first time I can understand, the just didn't know, but anybody who voted for him the second time is just an idiot. (Most of my family included, but then they think Fox News and Rush are intelligent sources of information.)

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Well there Mr. Supreme... You see the problem is (using Indonesia as an example for the bigger picture here) when 75% had favorable views of the US, those 75% weren't trying to kill Americans. In addition to those 75% with favorable views, another big percentage likely had neutral views of us. The extreme elements (and we have our own too) only had a few percent of the population from which to recruit their "jihadi" fighters/suicide bombers and obtain all their financial support.

Now that the percentage is only 30% favorable, and even if you'd argue the size of the neutral population remained the same (doubtful), the percentage of their population that they can count on for support and recruits has probably increased ten fold plus!!!!!!! In other words... our policies have only made MORE of the extreme elements we don't want. It shouldn't be so hard to understand that when you find yourself in a hole, you should stop digging! Duh.

And lastly, I find it hilarious when someone uses the fact that some of "them" (whichever "them" you choose) want to kill us, to make the exact same argument that we should kill them. It seems you wouldn't even recognize yourself when you look in a mirror? The ability to be able to put yourself in someone else's "shoes" to try and see their side of an argument seems to be totally missing from the "right wing" of America these days.

Anyway... that's my own stupid opinion... we are all entitled to one still, right?

    (Edit: removed unintentional double negative)

If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?

Where the fuck does it say that documentaries have to be "fair and balanced"? Is there some pledge you have to sign before you pick up your camera?

Let me make a preface to the statement I'm about to make:
    I hate our current president.

    BUT...
9/11 pushed those numbers more then anything. JFK could have been the pres, and the #'s would have looked similar.

    Just saying.

    edit: YAY red states!

JFK wouldn't have taken office and starting rattling his sabre in weeks and lob missiles over there just because war increased his Daddy's popularity. Did 9-11 happen because of Bush.... maybe not but then again he probably helped with the jihad momentum. We'll never know if a less aggresive approach would have been better.

edit Actually the Iraq lies and ensuing boondoggle probably have more impact on a lot of those numbers. An intelligent approach might have put 9-11 behind at least in financial terms. How much does the military consumption of oil drive the demand side of oil and then the price?

true, but to discount the effect 9/11 had on those #'s makes for poor stats and an unbalanced pov.

    RESUME

    GEORGE W. BUSH

    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

    Washington , DC 20520

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Law Enforcement:
I was arrested in Kennebunkport , Maine , in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.

    Military:
I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam .

    College:
I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a cheerleader.

    PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:

I ran for U.S. Congress and lost.

I began my career in the oil business in Midland Texas , in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas . The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.

With the help of my father and our friends in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas .

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS :

I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power a nd oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union . During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America .

I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money.

I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American history.

With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida , and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President of the United States , after losing by over 500,000 votes.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.

I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week.

I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit i n U.S. history.

I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period.

I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues.

I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleezza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President.

I am the all-time U.S. and world record -holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations.

My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. history, Enron.

My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision.

I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history. I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

I changed the U.S. policy to allow convict ed criminals to be awarded government contracts.

I appointed more convicted criminals to my administration than any President in U.S. history.

I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States Government.

I've broken more international treaties than any President in U.S. history.

I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspector's access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.

I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 US election).

I set the record for fewest numbers of press conferences of any President since the advent of television.

I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year period. After taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history.

I garnered the most sympathy ever for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.

I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protests against any person in the history of mankind.

I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. Citizens and the world community.

I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families in wartime.

In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq and then blamed the lies on our British friends.

I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.

I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD.

I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice.

    RECORDS AND REFERENCES:

All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view.

All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review. I specified that my sealed documents will not be available for 50 years.

Newsflash: You don't have to lie to create bias. Simply omitting facts and only presently one side of a debate works just as well. Moore's docuganda films reake of bias and opinion. If you think his films are objective, you're an idiot.

And for the record, I really don't like Bush. He has destroyed your country in more ways than we yet know. Moore on the other hand is a fat blowhard who has destroyed the inventory of many-a Krispy-Kreme in more ways than we will ever know.

You're really incredibly fucking stupid. I've seen you post the same retarded shit in the past and haven't commented, but to say that Kerry, Gore, and Clinton would leave Islamic militants alone is beyond idiocy--especially considering that it was your Republicans who accused Clinton of wagging the dog when he attacked Al Qaeda (and nearly killed Bin Laden). If Bush hadn't been asleep at the wheel immediately before 9/11 who knows what could've happened--to say nothing of how we could have averted the shitstorm we have now.

I've heard most all of these before but GOD DAMN is it staggering to see them all at once! All Bush supporters(especially 2nd election) deserve to be anally raped by a life-sized G.W.B. bobblehead doll.

^^^Sure, but look at all the good things GWB has done for us.

Ummm, there is something good, right? For the life of me I can't think of any, but there must be at least one. Okay, if he didn't do anything good, there must be somethings he didn't fuck up, right?, Damn, I just can't think of anything he did fuck over.

    Yep, you're right, he's a fuck up.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Sometimes I just wonder if I am the only one that thinks this asshole has destroyed my country with his reckless and selfish ways. Judging by the other responses, it is validating and makes me realize I am not alone in my views.
Note; I don't live in the US anymore so I don't have water cooler talks.

Been asleep at the wheel??? Haha, he had barely just got to the wheel! He had been in office a few months and was still adjusting the wheel! Let's see, in office for 8 years during while OBL taunts the US or in office for a few months while you are still trying to establish your administration. Oh yeah, like that responsibility is hard to place . That's kind of like saying that a great depression that starts a few months into a president's presidency is his fault.
