Sorta like LibTech selling their "Narrow Ass Snowboards" only in singles...(gotta love that)...

These would be perfect for The PNW "WET" powder.

It does say later on that they are 200mm underfoot, and the pics do show a swallowtail. The guy also says he did some nice switch carving on them... with a swallowtail?

This seems like a ridiculous race for the biggest ski. Surely 200 is the near the limit, but who knows at this point.

We saw a guy on them at Wolf Creek a few weeks ago. He was making the low angle super deep pow look really fun. At least he could plane out and turn while those of us on mid fats (115mm waist) were having a hard time just straightlining the flats in 4 feet of fresh.

They seem like fun for those super huge days.

After spending some time on comikazis, I have come to the conclusion that there is no reason to go bigger than 140ish, even for huge guys.

177 is stupid and overkill, and those liberties look even stupider.

Yeah, I feel like my Comi's are plenty fat for anything. They float with very little speed or effort.

Saw some guy at Silverton and then Vail a couple days later on those Duret Monstre beasts. Watching him skate from the lift was pretty funny looking.

All right, I saw these things coming out of the canyon on sunday. I thought the dude was carriing two snowboards. Swallow tail and everything. They had to be twice as wide as my melees. Watching him take of down the cat track was fuckin hilarious. Looked like he'd been on horse way too long. I like fat but damn... If I remember correctly they probably only came up to his shoulders. I'm not sure but these things seem just to be an oddity. Too big for much but the whole low angle make 6" feel like 30" thing. But, most folks looking at my skis would say that so....

I saw these things here at the boat on sunday. We have a guy that skis here that works for liberty so i bet it was him. They looked ridiculous, especially as he skied away down the cat track looking like he liked to ride large woman and had maybe over done it in the last couple of days...

I couldn't see going any fatter than my Sumo, they seem too big sometimes (then you lay it over in any type of snow and say to yourself... oh).

I agree on the comments that skis do not need to be above a 140mm in the waist. Yes it comes down to personal prefrence but anything over 140 would suck on traverses and on the lower half of the moutain with groomers and cat tracks. But if you had some cat skiing or heli skiing then it might not be to bad.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

I am sure they are just a prototype that they are testing. I highly doubt they will ever be available to the public. According to Liberty's website, it doesn't seem like it is something they are pushing, just a news bit showing that they are trying something new to see if it may work. Does seem ridiculous though.
