    Montana Summit Lodging

How many people are staying in Bozeman? How many people are staying in Big Sky? Post your answers here! I can't decide where to stay. Bozeman is going to be cheaper but that drive can blow sometimes.

    Wilco, third line in now...

I really suggest Bozeman again for the social options - IMO the only way Big Sky is really solid for it is if we get a place with enough people to rage with in BS...otherwise the Mountain and Meadow Villages can be kind of tame.

    Compared to the Bozone anyway.

I'm leaning towards Bozeman, 'cause my neighbor has a cottage there and will let me stay for free, ok, I have to bring some particular beer back to MN with me so not really free.

If people really, really want to stay in Big Sky I'd suggest maybe just doing it during the dedicated BS/MLB days - I guess it'd make bell-to-bell skiing a bit easier. The commute to/from Bozeman is about 45 mins to an hour.

However being in Bozeman makes getting to Discovery or Red Lodge or anywhere else people might want to go quite a bit easier. About the only place BS is closer to is Jackson/Targhee.

anybody got the line on uber cheap lodging and/or car camping negotiations?

fwiw, i'm an excellent cook, too (i make a killer carrot infused whole wheat/cocunut crust pizza...among other things). I think Brkln will vouch for me, if pressed (though she might tell you I'm crazy, but in a kind of good way).

Yep, folks will either think you're soy, or that you're talking about cheese.

I was thinking of just crashing in the back of my truck after I'm good and drunk. Where I park my truck will depend on where the majority of you plan on hanging out. So far, that sounds like bozeman.

(I also have a pop-up camper that I'd be willing to bring for others to sleep in provided you've got a decent sleeping bag)

i'll probably be planning on crashing at bozo. probably in molly brown's parking lot other than that, yes, bs/mlb would be cool if we could get a bunch of people together and get something going on our own, but i will stress that up there sucks for any kind of... well anything party related, unless there are a bunch of hot chicks up there on break from school with a timeshare anyway, i would say bozo is the way to go... i'll be there, one way or another.

as long as the snow is good down in cooke, it would be worthy, but with the way this year is going, that shit that is already up there, unless it all melts, or we have one hell of a heavy wet dump, the snow pack is gonna be crap.

The Best Western City Center might be a good choice for people that want to go out in Bozeman. It is right downtown really close to the BARmuda triangle.

Couple tips for you dirtbags. There is a room at the Corral Bar motel in Big Sky that is normally reserved for the maid but they will rent it out to you for $40 night if you're willing to sleep surrounded by linens and other things that a maid might need. It's a pretty decent room with a shower. Also, if you tell the people at the Whitewater Hotel that you are working in Big Sky they will cut you a huge break, they are used to contractors putting up their employees there.

Possibility of the maid dropping by as well...

I have still nothing sorted... so if someone have a big place rented and need more people to share, I am interested.

If not, I might be up for a bed or couch at your place Jumper.
