Apologies if repeat. I looked, didn't see anything, but I'm retarded sometimes.

Very cool. How awesome would it be if those things just randomly roamed the deserts of the world?
Those are very cool living sculptures that guy is making. They are like very simple computers in some aspects. They know how to stay between the water and the dunes, and they know when its going to storm to hunker down and stay put.

Cool. (But definitely "art lite", if art at all.)
"Active management in bear markets tends to outperform. Unfortunately, investors are not as elated with relative returns when they are negative. But it does support the argument that active management adds value." -- independent fund analyst Peter Loach
Imagine what it would be like, having not seen this, to see one of this just cruising around the desert on its own.
"Those 1%ers are not an avaricious "them" but in reality the most entrepreneurial of "us". If we had more of them and fewer grandstanding politicians, we would all be better off."
- Bradley Schiller, Prof. of Economics, Univ. Nevada - Reno.
This is amazingly cool...I showed my kid and he loved it!
Thanks for posting it

Life is not lift served.
Art is defineable only by the one perceiving the piece. Their is art in painting, music, even cooking and engineering; the latter being where I think these machines can be categorized - engineering art.
When I watched the vid, I was moved by the ingenuity and dedication involved in much the same way I am moved by a painting or photograph that would be considered art in a more traditional sense.
I think those machines are amazing, and beautiful in their own artistic sense. (However, they do not "know" how to stay away from waves. They are not sentient. Yet.![]()
Try to keep two ideas in your head at the same time without blowing your brains out your ass.
Sure it's art. Just like a 1947 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith could be considered art. It's also an engineering exercise.
And, it's damned cool to boot.
...Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain...

The problems we face will not be solved by the minds that created them.
