    Painting Skis Question

So I'm going to give painting my well used, partially delaminated and filled with epoxy, Atomic Deep Powders a shot. I posted a thread about getting the bindings off and got some great advice and an offer for some help doing it correctly. Moving on, I have read the posts about painting skis, and I'm pretty convinced that Krylon Fusion is the right paint for me. I'd like to do a solid color topcoat (probably white) and add a few pennies to the tips in case someone out there needs change.

    I have 2 questions:
    1. What product should I use for the clear coat. It needs to be durable because I don't want these skis to look like shit after a couple of runs. I'm fine with putting on multiple coats and spending as much time as needed to let things dry and cure completely between coats. I just want to ensure maximum durability.

    2. Has anyone used 3M clear bra material over a custom paint job? A good friend of mine is an installer and would be happy to help me install a clear bra over them, but I'd like to know what you all think is the way to go.

What you think I'll lose one in the snow? Unpossible! I crank the binders up to about 30 so that all I'll have to do if I lose one is look for my bloody stump of a leg sticking out of the powder.

Years ago they sold some of the clear stuff for topsheets, it works really well in my opinion. Keeps the scratches down to a minimum. Paint them then have your buddy do the clear stuff. Should be pretty bomber in my opinion.

Remember back in the 80's you could buy a sticker top sheet?
They came in all kind of "jam" colors and designs....can't remember the catchy name though.

Would Rhino Liner have a dampening affect on the skis?

The GF really doesn't like skulls, and THA 187s have lots of skulls
    And I like damp skis

Let them cure and dry between coats, AND sand back the paint. I did it on the belt grinder in the shop I was working at and people thought I was crazy (new pair of skis) but it lasted good and the paint job was super rad. For a topcoat I used simple clear laquer (15 sanded coats?)
