ya profski has been sick. i have been talking to him on the phone because i really want to get started but i cant seem to get my hands on the base material. Also Splat has the edges and i really need those too.

Dose anyone know where we can get our designs printed on the topsheets? Profski said that maybe i should call the guys at moment skis, because snowboardmaterials.com could take weeks. he also said it needs to be epoxy based paint to go on the fiber composite topsheets that we already paid for.

sweet splat ill contact you later to get the edges. right now i am keeping my self busy with learning how to profile this spyder foam (really cool stuff.)

The topsheets will also keep me busy. I found a screen printer that might be able to print onto a vinyl so i might not need to use the provided topsheets at all. anyway thats just me so everyone keep truckin and ill see you at class on wed or thurs..

I just received this today. What does it all mean?

Dear Build Your Own Snowboard/Skis Class,

I am contacting you to give you an update on this class. I wanted you to know that although the class has certainly had some bumps (or maybe I should say mountains) in the road we have not forgotten about you! I have stayed on top of the progress of this class for the past four months and am quite aware of all of the difficulties the course has had. For those of you I have not spoken to personally I give you the sincere apologies of TMCC/WDCE and myself and I thank you for your amazing patience!

Bob is still committed to having each and every one of you complete a set of skis or a snowboard. The delay at the moment is still the materials. I contacted the company today to get the details and apparently the machine needed to make the materials you guys need has been broken for quite some time. The machine is fixed now and of course the materials order has been in for months but with the backlog they are estimating that the materials will still be three to four weeks from arriving in Reno. At that time you will be contacted by either Bob or myself to get the class started again. If need be Bob can work with you individually to make it work for your schedule. We are committed to having you complete your projects by the end of the summer with plenty of time to hit the slopes when the snow comes.

Once again I want you to know how sorry we are for all of the struggles that this class has gone through. It is certainly not typical of a TMCC class and we want to make it right. We will keep working at it until everyone is satisfied. Thank you for your patience, we truly appreciate it.

good to know that not much has changed since february in terms of progress.

whatever, i got my refund and I am happy now. If i'm gonna make skis, i'll do it my way. definately not Bob's way, which is to not make skis!

Hey has anyone been building over the summer? I Got a bagging setup in my basement now, and can't wait to do a little layup soon.

Nope. Got jacked on extra materials cost, tool costs, etc. I've got a top sheet, P-tex sides, filler material, two cores and inserts sitting in our spare room.
