Liz, you'd be totally fine on this trail - pretty non technical. I think the most difficult part will be trying to figure out exactly where the race course is. There are lot of connecting trails out there.

Hopefully, we'll see ya in the morning!

So my plans have changed back to Round Valley with UTSG in the morning. However, I'm also throwing the big bike on the car because I just put on the new 888 (so sick by the way) and could see myself doing the first lap and then heading over to the skills park for some play time

Skiingbear, it would be cool of you to give the girls the tour of the course at 8:30. I can haul you up if you have a ride back later. Otherwise you'd be stuck with us for the day. I understand if it doesn't work for you though.

I know the race course well, but unfortunately, it is not always intuitive. I'll meet up with peeps at the NAC at 8:30. Laps are about an hour if you cruise non-stop.

There's your out Skiingbear. We can of course still drive you up, but either way I guess we'll see you both probably a bit later. Thanks LDD.

hey! is anyone still awake? i'm down for riding PC. my roomate was planning to ride with me tomorrow too.

sorry about the bad trail beta. it was definitely a miscommunication being passed along. id definitely be one of the first p eople you see tip-toe through any kind of mud

not down for being in PC by 8:30, but definitely interested in flying dog, and possibly a 10am round valley. Roomie might go jogging in the a.m. though, so if we carpool up it will be whenever he's done.

hopefully someone checks in here. or maybe we'll just surprise you at el chubasco? anyway, flying dog sounds rad

fyi: we're working on clearing the brush back from the skyline trail between pineview reservoir and n. ogden divide. We're only like a mile into it (on the pineview side) but it's going to ride a lot faster now. It's still singletrack but there's a lot more room to work with on the sides. We'll be working on that throughout the summer. it looks like good riding right now.

I am totally bummed that I missed you guys. I was at the NAC (parking lot near the skating rink) at 10:00am. At 10:10, when no one else was there, I started up the hill (counter clockwise). I think that I eventually got lost for a few minutes. I rode the single track to Old Ranch Rd. That was really nice. I saw a big buck (atleast 6 point velvety rack) and a small snake. Anyway, from Old Ranch Rd, I ran into pavement. From there, I rode McLeod's Creek Trail to Holiday Ranch Rd. Then, I hugged the golf course (and decadent mansions) to Round Valley Road. There, I, once again, rode single track back to NAC. R/T took me about 1.5 hours.
I went to El Chubasco at 12:10. There were no maggots there. Atleast, I ran into I. Gadget, trying to make the world a better place, at Dan's. I hope that he was able to catch up with you guys at FD.
ALthough, I enjoyed a great ride, I was disappointed not to run into you guys. Oh well, hopefully next time.

Sorry man, sounds like we just missed each other. We all met up at around 8:30, but didnt really start riding the RV loop until 9. Probably finshed up around 10:45 and went over to Chubasco, where we were till around noon. Then we rode Flying Dog at 1 (which is an outstanding trail).

So bummed I missed out. I ended up going for a ride to see if it would make me feel better in the a.m. I finally started feeling better after the ride.

    Maybe next time!

Sounds like a fun ride. I'll have hook up with some of you guys once my bike isn't broken and work slows down a bit. Maybe later in the week.

I guess missing the Flying Dog mass start with a giant posse of Maggots is what I get for trying to save the world. Actually, I was selling raffle tickets for a charity golf tournament that will benefit Habitat For Humanity of Summit and Wasatch counties.

    Hint, hint.
We've got some great prizes if you're interested in supporting Habitat for Humanity.

With false optimism at redline, I kept thinking I might catch the group somewhere on the trail. Alas, it wasn't to be. I had a good time even though I was solo. I was happy to see familiar faces when I stopped by the school parking lot in time to see Kevin roll up - does Kevin have a board name? He was followed by the usual suspects.

I will not be late next time.

JoshP, Tradygirl and I headed up from PC to see how high we could get up. Cruised up to Shadow Lake at 9000 feet, but I would bet the loop around the lake is not quite ready. We headed down Keystone and found quite a bit of lingering snow, but Apex, Steps, Johns and Sweeneys were pure sweetness.

hey, no worries, T, still rode flying dog in my posse of two. did you guys ride a full loop up FD down to cobblestone to glenwild, etc and back to jeremy ranch? We did full loop from the trail head by KJ. i want to try riding the connector trail next time and come counter clockwise down FD through all the aspens and meadows.

Yep, we did the full loop and finished with a ride down Ant Farm, which is a new favorite of mine.

We'll have to get out riding soon!

Anyone riding tonight? I'm thinking maybe PC somewhere.

Today, I rode from the Guardsman parking area to the top of the Jupiter lift. There are still snow patches in the higher elevation areas. I think that the Crest will be ready in 2 weeks.
Tomorrow, in the AM I will ride the MMT from The Canyons. Any interest?
