I am LMFAO at the idea of flash-mobbing another forum regardless of what happens here.

Pick a forum, give everyone a week to register then BAM the next Monday morning hit them hard with our usual TR's, Bacon and diary threads. See how fast the moderators can keep up. I bet the maggots could make internet history and have some hilarious fun in the meantime!!

I bet the tgr forums aren't going anywhere, but we need to do this anyways.

The key will be picking the right forum. One that is odd, very polite, but litely moderated, and a small user base so that the maggots may comepletly overpower them.

Edit. Dammit. Didn't read page 2.

Yeah that didn't really work. Banned after one post and didn't violate a rule.

Lots of history here. Be a shame to lose it.

And why such a possible quick exodus? Last time we all did it as we got pissed at Daniel (and more to the story). No one did "the community" wrong here. This is an unfortunate circumstance, expecially to those who are wondering what the hell do I do now.

    Food for thought.

As I've said throughout this... we should leave only if we have to, but we should be prepared because who knows what the new overlords will do...

In the event we have to leave here I think creating our own forum would be the best idea as we would all be banned in a week from any other forum.

quietly moving to a new site could be the best thing for this community. the cast of characters who make this place unique will still be able to do their thing minus the masses of ignoranus trolls who will probably stick around the TGR forum to thrunt things up for the new owners. the key to the migration will be quietly.

    Like I said...
Regardless or irregardless of what happens to TGR forums (I think they'll be around awhile)...We should just flash-mob some small stagnant forum and see what happens...(kitten forum...concrete engineering forum...singles forum...disneyana collectors), for week and then disappear into the ether again.

    I'm evil that way

Isn't there some Dental Forum we could take over - send the maggot teeth docs in first to establish some cred and then the rest can follow?

Another exodus like 2003? - we are like the modern-day Israelites - I just want a ski forum where I can say FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING DOUCHENOZZLE and post pix of bacon-covered boobies without some asshat moderator booting me. Is it possible?

It's not like it really matters anyway... I saw a show on the History Channel the other day that said the world is going to end on December 21, 2012.

It's true, because it was on TV.

Why would whoever ends up owning TGR shut down this forum? Maggots singlehandedly account for probably 95% of the the hits this site gets, which is alot. They'd be pretty dumb to ruin that kind of advertising potential.

Biglines would be my vote. There's already some crossover with the Albertan/eastern BC mags on here. Almost no moderation and most of the old school regulars aren't as prevalent any more so it's lost its community anyway IMHO.
