07" Titus ML rear tire issue

Anyone have any thoughts about the 07' Titus Motolite rear tire 26 x 2.35 rubbing the front derailleur when in its lowest or granny gear setting? Needless to say I did and was told nothing could be done as far as adjustments. So i bought a 26 x 2.1 which I m told is a better size for the rear anyway. But it sucks cause thats not what the bike came with hence I spend more money. Oh well. Otherwise I freakin love this bike!!!!

Last years doesn't do that....

Something must of went awry now that Titus manufacturing is overseas.

check that the Der is set at the right height to the rings and is straight.

also check that the BB is the right size.

if you get a larger BB, then you will have to adjust the F der out more and that will give you more clearance

Again thanks. I m working this out with MTBR forum and my mechanic. Anyway I just love this " Snow: lingerie for the mountains" . Goddam that s good.
