    Front Range Mags.....Rear tire question

Just got back from my ride today, noticed the sidewall blowing out in 2 places on my rear tire and it needs replacing. I currently have a WTB nanoraptor. I have really liked the way it rides, and it is better than the last tire on my old bike, Panaracer Fire, that one was not very durable. Anyone have any suggestions for a good XC tire for around here, likes/dislikes. The bike is a Gary Fisher Sugar 3. Thanks.

were you at white ranch today??

I have bucked up for the Conti Vertical Pro, best tire I ever had.

Previous tires: Hutchinson Python Gold Elite-decent but wore quickly, did not have enough tread profile to grip when it really counts, but nice low rolling resistance.

Panaracer Smoke (rear): too much tread for hardpack conditions, would kind of "float" on harder conditions, did not give me a sense of stabilitiy, ripped the sidewall, note even sure how i did it.

Panaracer Dart classic (front): Piece of poo, washes out in just about any condition in any type of cornering. Has found its way to the garbage.

No White Ranch for me today. Hit up 3 sisters in Evergreen for a casual ride. I use to have the smoke/dart combo on my first bike, that was like 9 years ago. They were good at the time. I will have to check out the Conti tire. I am looking for the combo of price and durability. I found the nanos for 35.00 online and I like the tire, for a mellow tread pattern, It has good traction for around here. It is always nice to know what other people are having success with as well.

I have 3 other buddies running the Conti's right now on the front range. Pricey tire though. Stick with what you think works best.

DO NOT buy Hutchinson Pythons unless you like buying a new tire every 5 rides!

I had a few flats but i ran 2 pair for 500 miles each. Just my experience. Just slightly aggressive XC, nothing DH.
