I'm betting the Red Sox won't hold the Yankees offense to 8 runs over three games. Who's pitching the second game, Beckett? There's 8 runs right there.

A ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha......

Ah, ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

This is the Josh Beckett who's given up, like, three runs all season and won the WS MVP three years ago, right?

Yes, but he won the WS MPV playing against whom? I doubt it was a good-hitting team like the Yankees.

Yes, the WS edition with baseball glove leather seats and spitoons for every seat.

BTW, my roommate is looking to sell an MPV (not the WS edition)

Yep, the same guy who had a 5+ ERA last year. He's gotta start the climb up the ERA charts sometime, right? This weekend seems to be a good time to get it going.

You're right... but I know better. Three games does not a season make.

Check out last year's start too- 1 ER, 1 ER, 1 ER- in his first three games. Then 5, 8, 4.

By the way, I know the kid's good- but being a Yankee fan, I have to look at the pessimistic side of his stats.

I agree, three games does not a season make. But last year his starts had worrisome signs in the beginning, now, those worries are gone. He looks like a totally different pitcher this year.

He's definitely improved. I'm excited for this series, although I'm annoyed at having to watch it on YES.

I feel as though Boston-New York series have been predictable over the last couple years- Game 1, blowout, Team A wins. Game 2, blowout, Team B wins. Game 3- close one*. I think this will go the same way.

    * I don't know this is true, it just feels that way to me. Except for when New York wins 5 games in a row in Boston. Then it just feels like shit.

Someone tell Boston that its not St. Patrick's Day, or Christmas.

They've got some of the most fucking ugly jerseys on that I've ever seen. Green? What the fuck?

It's "Celtics Day." You know, to celebrate the fact the C's have the second worst record in the league. The championship banners are hanging in the outfield and Bob Cousy (of New York) threw out the first pitch.

    Borderline retarded.

Google is not my friend. It won't tell me where there's a red sox bar in Seattle. Anyone know how I could find out? Some fellow sox fans don't know either. Doesn't every city have a sox bar? There's enough boston transplants to warrant it here methinks.

I just wanted to mention that A-Rod has 2 HRs and 4 RBIs. You know, just in case you've turned the game off already.

Oooh, that's gotta be embarrassing. I'm sorry, you've earned the "ignore" function for the rest of this series.
