while the GJT forecast said the storm track is going to stay to the North, Steamboat does well with the expected WNW flow and orographics, so it should snow into next week, how much is tbd.

Forecasters are not buying into anything quite yet. There is going to be a system tomorrow night into Monday that will prob reach advisory levels. The models have been trending weaker with the shortwave for wednesday, pushing most of the energy north, though the system will clip the steamboat area.

After that it is kind of a crapshoot. The model's want gonzo's big fucker in the pacific to drop down from the Gulf of AK and move on shore bringing a chance of substantial snowfall, but the forecasters are also noting that the ingredients may be in place for a continued splitting of systems, which would weaken anything coming on shore. Keep your fingers crossed and always think antijinxs

thanky back at ya. Hadn't been to the Boat in years, but quickly found I really like the place. Met a bunch of the Ohio 800 college kids, bought them a few rounds. (You're cool for an old dude, dude).

got plowed a few times at Slopeside (great food) and Gonjola Pub.

I'm so bored with Summitt County and their crowds, and about puke at Vail. The boat is a good place with good people.

Mountain's nice too but not much steepy opened up yet. Running laps on Tomahawk was fun, and Flying Zs and Storm Peak were very nice.

nbo crowds at all, and i will return.
