Hey folks. I can not wait to meet you nutty people. I've been riding the Wood since '97, now gratefully living in Xmas Valley. This thread is badass. Oh yeah, I lost my King Salmon randonee skis off my roof rack today on the passing lane towards Carson Pass. The tool I was about to go backcountry with forgot to secure the racks. I made it all the way from Xmas Valley to there before they came off. The only reason I realized exactly where they were was that the car I passed on the left followed me all the way to The Meadows to tell me he was trying to get my attention. I did wonder why he was tailgating me all the way to the mountain. My negligent, almost-backcountry partner didn't even apologize. When I got back to said location, someone had stopped to grab the neon pink and black bag with my beautiful, freshly tuned babies. I'm wondering what people think about this wanker's fiscal responsibility. I don't want to get into details -too late- as to how it was his responsibility. I certainly don't feel like said moron has my back, so I believe I'll not put my life in his hands. He was supposed to join me and some buds at Pear Lake Hut in January. No way Jose! I'm done ranting. Peace out.
