    Photos: Nerple Deep at Solitude

Yesterday was quite possibly the best day of the year for me. No people, bottomless pow, and good company.

    Skier is Mike Rasmussen.

All of these shots were taken after 2:00 pm. Booyeah.

    Yeah, yesterday sucked.

I was thinking about you yesterday, as I always see you driving up BCC as we start skinning up our usual haunt as of late. Can't ignore what's good.

You are confused, and we can talk about that. Really, we can. We'll get you help, boss.

And TH--I managed to get my bones up in your new haunt this morning--you guys sure did a number on that yesterday. Stay tuned for pics. With graybird at the trailhead, I opted out on the camera, but CS slogged his up there--and there was still plenty to be had.

    got some ok shots.

definitely not as deep as the day before. Oh well.

Griz, with a little spritzing of a face shot.

Not super deep, but noice and creamy

And the blue sky was peaking out here and there. Z, going freaking huge.

Griz steppin it up even more. Take that KW posers.

Fun morning, even after seeing damage done by the farm crew. Oh, and I need to work on my panning shots.

New toy is coming tomorrow. Stokage level is high.

Nice Craig. What was your shutter speed for your panning shots?
Edit: And I can't even believe how huge I went this morning. Makes me nervous just thinking about it.

Yo--I don't know that it was so much the focus anyway. For as fast as we were skiing, you'd probably wanna try 1/90 or 1/125 (most likley 1/125). Also, on those, you should get super specific with your athlete as to where you want him /her to go and prefocus. One less thing to worry about.

Nah, I actually liked the amount of blur with 1/60, though 1/90 coulda worked as well. I considered the prefocus idea, but yelling where exactly to go prolly wouldn't have worked so well. I just need to do it more often.

That's as deep as you found? Geeze TH, you shoulda left some for the lads. Xover and I found (how did Lynx put it - BALLS DEEP) the goods in east Days.

Then we found the most henious of conditions coming down the south facing to get back to the car.
