    Bacon, A TR

Better late than never, right? so I told a few mags about this. I guess it's time to share my adventures in bacon with everyone. It started out on a chilly autumn morning. Well, morning to me, it was about 3pm. But when you get off work at 8am, 3pm is EARLY! I'm the type of people who needs to eat breakfast food when I wake up, so my husband and I decide that we're going to make bacon! (pun not intended) We head over to Harmon's (one of the more nicer grocery stores in our area) and go to the deli. No skimping here! we're getting the good stuff! Bacon. Spicy potato stuff in a bag. Pepper jack cheese. PBR. We're good to go!

We get home and decide to start on the bacon first. Well, we find out that our super high quality bacon is too big to fit in the pan! PWNED! It's almost 4 o'clock, I'm hungry, and I really don't want run out and buy a bigger pan. Say, let's grill it! Perfect! Gas grill... bacon... grease fire! woohoo! A couple minutes later, and we have bacon. Truly, the best way to cook bacon, unless you're making chicken fried bacon. Slap some pepper jack cheese on the spicy potato shreds, and it's good to go! Best breakfast EVARRRR!

All in all, good day. Nice views. No major casualties or carnage.

    Good Bacon!

    PWNED!

    Breakfast! yay!

Does bacon taste better off the grill?

Yes! Everything tastes better grilled. Next time I'm going to try some smoking chips when I cook my bacon.

Also, try grilling hot wings. I get the kind from Costco, extra hot. Very yummy.

it does taste quite delectable. however, then you don't have the delicious grease in which to cook your eggs. that, my friends, is a catch-22.

Looks like a fine breakfast except you ruined the hash browns by using ketchup.

Secret bacon tip...if you want to cook a bunch, find a full sized cookie sheet, the type with a full rim, and bake, yes bake, at 425 till done. Perfect every time, and little chance of converting it to charcoal. Less splatter on the stove too.

The second batch is even better, leave the grease in the cookie sheet, add bacon, and toss in oven for 10-15 minutes. Its easy to do 10-12 slices at a time.

True, the ketchup is kind of a travesty. At least it's not fry sauce, rumour has it utards a crazy for that stuff.
Homefries=tobasco, salt, pepper, and *maybe* cholulas.

So far, the best bacon I have cooked up has been on a George Foreman grill. I rolled my eyes when my mother-in-law gave us that monstrosity for Christmas, but little did I know what crispy goodness it was going to be producing for us. FKNA!

When I lived in an apartment I used my George Forman grill so much it died. It made great chicken and pork. Can't remember if I ever fried bacon in it. I guess I never used it to its full potential.
