what? oh, you said soccer, I thought you said football, sorry.
Well, what you call soccer, we call football. Why do you call it football anyway? You mainly use your hands and it aint no ball. Why not call it "handegg"?

    1. Ukraine (gotta support the home boys)... otherwise Netherlands.
    2. Hmmm... tough one. Since everyone's going for the Old World... Boca Juniors!
    3. In no particular order... Edgar Davids, Ronaldo, Zizu, Gabriel Batistuta (whoa, just realized most of these are or about to retire... gotta get that damn soccer channel).

    Agree completely.

One of the best goals... for both skill and timeliness... Euro 2004 when he had the goal versus Italy. Insane. Wish he would have been a bit more effective in Germany though. That was a horrible showing by the team in yellow.

With regards to Freddy Adu... he so would not cut it in the EPL. Although I would love to be proven wrong on that.

At the very least he's completely wasted his 2 years (?) in the U.S.

    1. Poland, reluctantly because they've been horrible for as long as I can remember, but i'm hopeful that their recent stretch of good form is a sign of good things to come. Also the Netherlands and Czech Republic, for playing a creative attacking game

    2. Liverpool. They had a Polish guy in goal once and are always painfully underachieving.

    3. Ronaldinho, duh. Also Luis Garcia for taking chances that don't pan out most of the time, but when they do, it's spectacularr

In regards to the comments about Adu and his US cohorts needing to play in Europe, I completely agree. Part of the problem is that a lot of them don't really want to. Look at Landon Donovan. I'm not going to say any more because it will just bring back awful memories of their performance in Germany.

    1. Which National Team is your favorite? USA and Germany - they're my Father- and Motherland respectively.

    2. Which Club team is your favorite? Bayern München

    3. Which player is your favorite to watch? Watching Zidane's Headbutt was great, but I gotta go with Ronaldinho because you never know what he'll pull outta his ass next - did you see that goal recently? That said - FUCK BRAZIL.

Ugh. I wish I had seen it. I was in class. Barca-Werder Bremen was a good game yesterday.

Yes. They're going to get knocked out this round though. Mark my words. As is Arsenal, they're nothing this year.

    1- Engerland

    2- Aston Villa

    3- Currently-Paul Scholes (pure class)
Past- Paul Gascoigne or Alan Shearer (even more pure class)

    1. England

    2. Man U - followed todays match on Eurosport.com while at work

    3. As a keeper, I really liked Schmeical (spelling?) and Buffon was outstanding in the World Cup. As a keeper, I would fear guys like Drogba, Ronaldinho, and Ballack for their uncanny ability to create plays out of nothing.

Absolutely no love for the Yankees...uh I mean Real.

It is tough to pick which team I dislike more Real Madrid or Juventus.

Unfortunately, a class act and great player Pavel Nedved play for Juvi

A lot of classy players (and even more great players) play for Juventus or have in the past. Fabio Canavarro, Alessandro Del Piero, Pavel Nedved, Mauro Camoranesi.

Just because their name is always in the mix when it comes to big transfer rumors doesn't mean that they should be lumped in with Real.
