I wonder, as we understand transmission a little better (not there yet but improving), protocols at nursing homes etc. are being significantly tightened to decrease risks to the very very vulnerable elderly population that resides in them. We're seeing fewer nursing home outbreaks and more work- or socializing- based outbreaks.
I predict overall, that this will "stretch out" the death curves following the incidence curves from the current ~14 days, which may confound the analysis, especially for armchair epidemiologists like PG, and unnecessarily aiding partisan narratives that we're "beating" the disease.
Good thing is the younger ICU patient population will decrease the overall mortality rates as well, though the survivors will prolly never be the same.
As beaterdit mentions, mortality rates are down in his unit, and they are in ours as well. I like to think that it's a function of better care and improving protocols, but it is likely as much due to the younger trend of patients.
Any stats that can back that ^^ beyond a few hospitals to share with the more ignorant demographics?
They probably exist, but now that stats are going directly to the WH and no longer available to the general public, who knows? But yeah, I will stress that my above speculations are purely based on anecdotal observations, limited by our current purview. Statistically significant trends will require larger datasets, and with the administration making a move to control the data, we really are moving into 1984 territory.

Was it an intentional act by those in charge or accidental? What was truth and what is myth? We likely will never know for sure.
I totally agree with the act of social distancing. Keep your rag-wearing face out of my space and we will both be better off.
