OMmmmmm or ZZzzzzz  ;)
Nice pic of me, I usually look like a spastic dwarf :rolleyes2 Thanks Sinecure!
We noticed :D I called Cinders and got her to take a look. You totally captured the way her dreadlocks move :yourock:
Now you can PM our newest member Dreadlock Cinders...
One cool thing I noticed.
Very few of us are photo-sluts, and some of us are a bit self conscious about our skiing abilities, or lack thereof...But all of us felt totally at ease skiing while everyone else watched. Pretty Cool  :D
Dude is a very chill hound.Sequence shot of Dude trying to keep up.

I have no clue how I missed this the first go around, definitely funny as hell.
And yes, I love my dog more than anything on this planet...I get separation anxiety if I am apart from him for more than a couple days, I am pathetic, but I am happy.
peace,
D.
naw that ain't pathetic.
i had a cat named Little Jo whom I loved more than anything on the planet. In fact I lost a few GF's because I took better care of her than them.
she lived with me all through college and then i dumped her off on my parents (they lived on 1/2 acre in the rural suburbs). i would visit my folks every weekend just to see Jo. My parents even knew this and were rather hurt by the fact that if my cat wasn't leeching off of their kindness that I'd be a prodigal son.
i cried like a little baby when i had to put her to sleep a few years back. i still get welled up if i think about her during certain times. it doesn't help much that my pops made a photo album of her that he gave me after the ordeal.
it's sorta strange to get more attached to what is conventionally considered a pet than to people in your own species category, but i think it's also natural and sometimes easier to relate to a dog/cat etc than it is to relate to some people.
anyway, i didn't get to bond with Dude too much, but he seemed like a cool and easy going bloke. the simple fact that he didn't bite me or anybody else at Ft. FKNA and was quiet (unless prompted to bark by his buddy Bodhi), was an added bonus. And he seemed to enjoy hanging out with the rowdy crew, which is another bonus. And it looked like he enjoyed the corn, too.
HEY, SQUAWFAG, YOU INSECURE, BUTTHURT LITTLE CUMGUZZLING POLESMOKER!
WE KNOW WHAT FIRM YOU WORK FOR AND THAT YOU ARE A FUND MANAGER. WE ALSO KNOW YOUR INITIALS. IT WON'T TAKE BUT A FEW PHONE CALLS TO SORT IT ALL OUT. YOUR POUTY LITTLE TIRADES WILL END OR YOU WILL GET THE JESSEJONES WRATH OF THE MAGGOTS DROPPED ON YOU LIKE A NEUTRON BOMB, BITCH.
PLAY IT AGAIN AND YOU WILL LOSE.
Looks like I might be in Colorado for the whole summer, so I am planning on throwing a big pool party at my pad Saturday, May 31st...booze, beer, wine, reggae music, half naked people, wet dogs, wet kitties (pussies), steaks, bbq, chix, all-u-can-eat gummy worms, booze, chips, salsa, dips, fire pit, beer, wine, cheese, crackers, Blue Margies, 'Canes, Absinthe, Jager-bombs, swimming, booze, beer wine, whippets night swimming, tiki...
Be cool if you and Lego and any other maggots and friends who would like to come show up--I have extra beds, couches, floor space for all to stay the evening with me and The Dude. I will even make everyone French Toast and bacon in the morning for breakfast. :)
peace,
D.

^nice to see that while i didn't make the Bklyn photo cut, my hot pink, screaming blue monkey skis (with MAGNETRACTION) did!
and nice to see that while we were hurling and burning down the forest at Ft. FKNA all y'all's were playing drunken monkeez.
Love all the drunken Uber shots, being successful with the monkeys. Great shot of Captain Powder with Cinders! And, I do believe this is the first picture ever, of me, on TGR, on my board.
Oh, and Trayc (zapping fingers): bzwzwtwzwtzzzzh bzwzwtwzwtzzzh
Hey LB. I gave my son the stickers yesterday. His immediate response "greatest sticker EVER!" He immediately went to the garage, peeled some other stickers off his skis, got an alcohol swab (he knows that stickers will stay better if he cleans underneath first), and put his Go Huck Yourself stickers on his Rossi Scratch BC skis. He'll be rockin those in the fall. I saw one go on his school notebook too.

Sinecure's pictures of me in the chute were great, but made it look like it was about 20 degrees. It was steep:

Day 3: Virginia Lakes, again
tarkman had a project deep in Virginia Lakes. Lots of gentle skinning and bosque:
http://tetongravity.com/forums/attac...1&d=1210913125
A very, very rare shot of tarkman losing his footing. Usually he can skin straight up 40 degree chutes, but somehow he missed a step here:
http://tetongravity.com/forums/attac...1&d=1210913236
Things got steep on the way to the summit. tarkman boots as fast as he skins. Do not sign up for one of his projects unless you are in excellent aerobic shape:

Thanks to everyone for making it such a great weekend, especially Elle Be for organizing, and Ubersheist and Shaggy for being my chauffeurs.
How about some more ski stoke shots? I'm starting to think Spats, Chunder, and I got more vertical while touring than most of those who skied the lifts.
I think people spent more time sittin' on the beach, then sittin' on a chair lift...Not that there's anything wrong with that.
For the very simple reason you can drink on the beach.
Wait, people skied at the mammoth mini? I thought the get-together was just for drinking and roasting emus?
umm schralph--fail posts?
I guess I'm not with the mostest then :)
the only time I spent on the beach was for a beer break at lunch or after 3pm.... What's the vert @ Mammoth? Like 2200 ft? I'm guessing I got something like 15,000+ vert per day.
here's a teaser / more later- gotta unpack and scrape all the bugs off my bumper first

I only got one shot of someone skiing and it wasn't good so I didn't post it, but it's not because we didn't ski. Personally, I was too busy enjoying the sweet spring corn and trying to get in a lot of runs to pull out the camera much on the slopes. Having knee surgery in June and starting a new job in New York in August, so this was my last chance to ski for a long time.Quote:

Not everyone stops to take shots when skiing. Most are too busy skiing. And, for me, I can't be bothered to do all the posing or wait for someone to ski ahead and then get it right. I just ride down when I get to the top of the lift. And then I do it again. And again. And...
Partying though, that's an easy shot to take. And fun to view, afterwards. That's what memories are made of - the socializing.
apologies if you skied that run with us and don't see youself here. my photo skillz are not madd. These are some of the ones that turned out... BTW, all but two of the people skiiing here were new nickels changed for me. FKNA awesome skiin with all of you!!!
