Looks like Russia is being cut out of SWIFT. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I am for this move as it is the harshest response we can make short of direct military engagement

Also Russia has said such an action would be considered a declaration of war. They don’t seem to have resources to act on it much, but time will tell. And definitely fuck Putin

Europe is getting in lockstep. Russian airlines barred from airspace, etc. The Putin brand/association is toxic. I'm hoping he over played his hand and fucked this up. As you said, time will tell. A Ukrainian soldier has sacrificed his life by blowing himself up to stop a Russian tank. The soldier was standing on a bridge connecting the mainland of Ukraine and Russia-Occupied Crimea. india abstained because their weapons are russian and russia has been a friend to india. they would also hope for a similar abstention if the war against china turns hot. not just votes but material support.

they had nothing to really gain by voting yes. sucks that’s the way it is with self interest overriding actual good, but there you have it.
