Having 6 broken made quite the line... and everyone powder clausing it and all the kids off from school... and a lot of Denver drove up in time to beat the 7am closure because everyone knew. I heard "and then I slept in my car" about a zilion times today.
But apart from the 30 minute Gondola One line I never really stood in long lines. But the slopes did feel crowded because there is so much lift capacity and there was not a lot of room to spread out with most of the mountain closed.
It was really windy down low. There was a lot of wind fucked snow.
Is this what people call a "Shitshow"?
Figured we would try to blitz 70 through Central City from Boulder. Foiled by Gilpin County sheriff.
Coming down I70EB right now with a plow escort. So aerie with no WB traffic anywhere.
No plows on the other side either. Doesn’t look like they’re even trying to get it open tonight.
Only residents allowed going westbound.

Roads above CC we’re pretty rough. 8-12” of new on pavement. Fun to drive but sketchy in the dark where you don’t know where you’re going. Back in Boulder. Fun 3.5 hour tour.
Meet you guys at 7AM at Floyd Hill!!

If the interstate is closed could you mountain bike on it if just a few miles were closed?
I-70W open...
The most quotes, over 10, that I heard today all shared the same word:
"Dense".
Do the math. Or Engrish.
