I'm glad to see at least one person here recognizes their position of privilege and is at least cognizant of the moral issues. That's a great start.

Ms Boissal is getting her second dose tomorrow. The wifi reception has greatly improved at the house but we also got a new router so the data is a bit murky...
We just found out that her sister and her husband, both rabid COVID deniers and all-around residents of kook town, tested positive today. He is symptomatic, she's not. Ms Boissal has been at war with them since this started and they've gone out of their way to be giant shitheads: went to Mexico in Nov, got sick there, refused to get tested, immediately went to see her parents when they got back then flew to his parents for Thxgiving, refused to skip Xmas dinner, dick-nosed their way through it, the works. At least now that they're infected they have a good reason to decline the vaccine for a while.
It's unpossible

Now give me some quarters for the jukebox...
OK - Just looked at the survey methodology and cross-tabs here https://www.kff.org/report-section/k...20-cross-tabs/
Health Care Workers were evenly split on the question of vaccination as 'personal choice' vs 'everyone's responsibility' too.
That's been his argument all along. All his friends got it and nobody died, what's the big deal?? They were genuinely surprised when Ms Boissal tore into them for hanging out with the parents after they got back from Mexico. They flat out refuse to believe people > 65 with a bunch of other health issues are at increased risk.
Yup. It angers me to no end that CA is currently sitting on 1.4 million doses because we can't figure out who should go first. Meanwhile, the fire burns brighter every day. If she can get it, get it because it will just create more govt confusion if she doesn't.
My 0.02 is that no vaccine should be left on the shelf at close of business every day until we get everyone. There should be a standby line that opens at 1pm for anyone to get the leftovers from the days work.

Your transparent attempt at using Steep logic has outed you. Take a lap you fucking beater.Quote:
I understand, but that's exactly the latent racism I am pointing out. blah blah blah
You perving on photos of me is kinda creepy. To be clear I have zero interest in trading pics with you. Just to shut that idea down right off the bat.
Again though I wanted to know how you knew everyone’s skin color and location. Knowing some details about a few people on here isn’t at all special or impressive (most of us can post facts about a few other posters) nor does it do anything but continue to avoid answering the question.
Carry on though - we can tell you feel special about this high horse you are on. Who am I to deprive you of that?
Mrs Millsie is getting her second vaccine today. She works in the covid unit of her hospital and has cancer. At least having the shot will make my anxiety a bit less.
No, I think it's a lot more about it being her MOTHER, not that she's white or privileged or happened to be born in a first-world country. It's her mother, she knows her, she loves her, and she's relieved and happy that her mother is being cared for. Latent racism? Sure, and I'm sure that no person of color would prefer the people in Africa would get vaccinated over members of their own family? Blaming everything on racism is bullshit. Sometimes, knowing and loving your mother is a more immediate emotion. Your position fails at so many levels that it really wasn't worth responding to but your blind 'wokeness' emboldened me.
Dude we get that DR is a moron. That's why many people have him on ignore. Feel free to continue to point out how he is a raging dumbass but please quit quoting him.
^^ Yeah, I get it. That's why I resisted but sometimes, I just gotta say what I gotta say. Anyway, I'm done with it.
Received the second dose of the vaccine (Pfizer) yesterday. From what I have read about 50% have fever, myalgia, arthralgia, headache after the second dose. I lucked out, other than a slightly sore arm, I am asymptomatic following the injection.
Average VT dirtbag checking in.
As I posted earlier, my wife, an LCMHC (therapist), had a similar dilemma. However she has a few clients that she sees in person for legit reasons. She took the vaccine when it was offered (the state called her). Our cell reception has not improved, so I question if the vaccine is working.
^^ Placebo
Looking at Life expectancey by country the USA's numbers are not great but they aren't 3rd world yet, I wonder if covid will change those stats to the 3rd world ?
deaths from fentynal OD's were enough to drop Canada 3 places
DeathRaven. Have you given any thought to killing yourself and making the world a better place? Webcast it too just to add some positive karma.
I'd donate bazillions to the fund for vaccinating all the anti-vaxers and proud boys with a 12 gauge rusty drug addict's bent needle if he does it.
Second dose of Pfizer yesterday. Woke up this morning with chills and minor headache. Hope that’s the extent of the reaction.
Add a mild fever and myalgia to the list. Still happy I received it so quickly.
Given that I spend a substantial portion of my work week being coughed on by anti-maskers, I'm pretty excited that I should be able to get a vax in the next few weeks.
