Hey dude! If you are 300 to 330 boot sole, for sure welcome to take em out.
Trigger pulled on FR110's, I can't wait to try out some R/R goodness. Thanks Marshall for creating some amazing skis!!!
Length? Congrats!

Unsure about which length of the BC 90 to go for. Planning on getting it as a volcano/big mission ski and am somewhat worried about the 184 being too much for tight spaces and the 177 being a bit under gunned. Will be pairing with Dalbello quantum asolo frees. I'm 6', 180ish and currently on some 175 Ova freebirds in that slot. Any recs?
I'd lean 177. I'm about your same size and ski the 180 Ova FB. That length is nice for skiing groomers when i skin at the resort, but I kinda wish i'd gone 175. I feel like a bit more capable and substantial ski, the BC90, a 177 would be perfect for big days and volcanos.
Thanks! Ordered 192s, flinched, emailed Marshal, and he talked me off the ledge. I’m pretty successful at avoiding bumps on BComb, and if it hasn’t snowed in long enough that they’re unavoidable, the avy danger is usually low enough for this Jerry to head out the gate, so sticking with the longer length. No doubt the 185s could find a place in my quiver too with slightly different priorities (or more money;). Approaching 10 days on my 194 FL113s and they’re already in the conversation for fav ski of my time on earth; can’t imagine what a good skier could do with em. Will report back in the Fall if I don’t die.
Just ordered FR110’s. I’ve read the whole thread and it’s still a little confusing to me, but what would be a ski available right now that I could demo that would be the most similar to an FR 110?
Moment meridian too

BeHuWe has a pair up for sale right now
The closest I'm aware of shape-wise is the Folsom Primary 110 Shallow RC option. I know Folsom does a lot of demos, but I'm not sure they have the flat camber version in a demo these days.
Plugboots I'm on older devs, ordered fr110. I'm in Taos now, then SLC 3/10, then points north to MT end of season.
Pretty much was a legend pro/1st cham107 guy before going reverse.
Like WRG said to me, it's like a cheat code. My devs w blast through chop rail groom etc. But when in Billy goat tight shit, can noodle around slide etc. Not hard to adapt to at all.
You'll be stoked on the fr110. It'll do a lot really really well.
^^^ Cool, thanks. This is what I’m expecting.
Yes, the raceroom skis have a traditional flex pattern (softer tip and stiffer tail), much less rockered/progressive shapes, and metal laminate. They are also offered in AM (about 7.5 of 10 stiffness) and Comp (about 9 of 10). So they will be cleaner on edge and a bit more traditional feeling in bumps/trees - where the FL is more surfy and loose.
the AM is a precision tool and the Comp is for chargers who put a lot of energy into the ski. Both builds are the most directional skis in the range and definitely reward skiers who like to round out their turns.
In contrast, the FL skis are more progressively shaped (more taper, more rocker, etc) and have a very different flex pattern that is more designed to blow up cut up snow. They are for skiing down the fall line - even on edge and carving. You are carving down the fall line.
the Freeride skis are for being creative and making all sorts of turns: slashing, drifting, pivoting, carving. Way more modern (centered) mount.
all the skis in the HL range are designed to be very smooth, confidence inspiring, and encourage you to keep skiing faster and faster. They just go about it in different ways! I am more than happy to talk through the skis you have liked/not in the past, and could compare/contrast as well.
so the rocker profiles are fairly similar, but the mount point is very different. The VWK line is like -14 and most people ski them at like -12. The BC110 line is -6, and I personally plan to ski them at -8. The line on the C113 for reference is -11.5. While it does have a small amount of camber; it’s rocker is very long and low, and skis pretty similarly to the VWK. I ran out of time to type up thoughts on this, so I’ll get to it this weekend!
Basically…
RR and AM are metal laminate with a maple core
FL are glass and rubber with a poplar/bamboo core
Of course that doesn’t cover the differences in sidecut, profile, and flex characteristics. It’s all on the site. Go read https://heritagelabskis.com
Fr227 w bag of dicks top sheet?
Maybe just buy what the man offers now to fund future line expansion?
I'd bet two pounds of applewood-smoked bacon that you'd be fine on the 186cm, and might get an ass-kickin by a hypothetical 194 or whatever. These are supposed to be a more playful shape and I think this first offered length is a great place to start.
Maybe get the 192 105 if you "need" a bigger weapon?
^this. Buy the 194 Devastator if that’s what you think you need. I think I sold my pair to a mag in the Midwest for $100 shipped to his door. They’re basically free.
I’ve skied most of the offerings in this ~110 UF reverse camber category and what Marshal is describing sounds perfect for this ski IMHO.
ETA sorry the 194 Devs sold for $135 with bindings, shipped. OP:
Dynastar Protos w/ pivots and 4FRNT Devastators w/ mojos

Yup, Norse and Jup are spot on, I am also a big fan of this category and have owned and do still own a couple of these sticks. What Marshall is offering is pretty much exactly how/what I would want this ski built.
FR110s ordered. Very excited for these!
Yeah the BC110 look awesome. Should have my hands on some R87 AM mid week. Will be putting ATK’s on them and using them for after hours resort skin rips.
I'm just now discovering the RC world and definitely curious about the FR110 [emoji102]
Those of you who've had the skis shipped to Canada, did you get hit with any brokerage fees? It looks like UPS has changed their rules:

Jeez - entitled much?
I am frankly impressed that Marshal did not call you out on the way you articulate yourself in his reply.
But that would mean that one would actually have to do the bare minimum of research before asking someone else to provide the answer to you. That takes effort.
Quick one: Would it be crazy to try to run hawx XTD 130 on the FR110? Or am I going to need to buy new boots too?
Edit: I find the XTDs are ok for my old Faction Dictator 3, Kastle FX 95HP, and Noctas, but those are all lighter skis. I remember the boots not necessarily having quite enough beef for the old Salomon Rocker2 122 (I always attributed to ski weight), but maybe was skier error?

Haha; the FL113 is will be the stiffest ski in the line. The FL105 will be about 10% softer. The FR110 about 10% softer than that. still an 8 of 10 or so. But not a full gas ski
The FR110 should be just fine with the XTD imo. Especially
if they fit ;)
I see absolutely no problem using that setup. While the layup would be about the same between the FR110 and FL113, the flex, shape and camber profile are definitely not, the 110s are more forgiving (as we drew them), so no need for a plug or semi race boot there.

You guys are amazing.

hey man, sorry I missed this earlier.
I think you could ski both.
here are my pluses and minuses.
(1) the 177 will navigate switchbacks a little easier
(2) the 177 will be more nimble in tight chutes and trees
(3) the 177 will weight close to 100g less per ski
(4) the 184 will have a little higher top end and naturally prefer larger turns
based on the 175 ova, I’d say go for the 177 as it will be both quicker and surfier for sure
