Germans really have their head up their ass wrt china. They may not, to your expert ass, need more water but they very much have plans to take more water. There were water shortages earlier this month to make snow for the shitshow games

The Golan Heights is the one thing I am perfectly fine that Israel occupied and if it was up to me, think they should keep in perpetuity. Gaza, West Bank, East Jerusalem, no. Golan Heights, yes. Mostly for the strategic high ground against Syria. If it was just about water, no.
I’m just here for the food-based roast battles.
Party on Wayne. Just don't play Stairway
I swore I'd never reply to you anymore, but you do realize how far Tibet and the northwestern chinese dry steppe are apart and which water sheds are concerned? Hence my palm springs taklamakan joke which you apparently didn't get. And no I won't Respond any more. [emoji6]

There’s plenty of info out there, but I guess Germans pretending not to know has a long history
From done of what I've read, western European intelligence screwed up and didn't believe this was really coming. The German spy chief had to escape Kyiv by car because he got caught there when Russia invaded.
Posting it again because it's an interesting bit of history.

I heard someone recently say they don't really think counterinsurgency is possible without war crimes, so it becomes a question of what people are willing to put up with seeing. That its Ukraine and not some far away country in the Caucasus probably makes this harder, unless something else comes along like a ship burning to shift our collective attention away.
It's interesting to see Chechen troops being sent to Ukraine.
US Intel was spot fucking on. We called it right on the money.
"#Russia has now deployed TOS-1 launchers to the outskirts of heavily populated areasQuote:

Thermobaric weapons against civilian targets have zero military purpose
It would be a war crime aimed at terrorizing & slaughtering people into submission"
-Vice Chair US Intelligence Committee
Hmm... I'd expect the Germans to have good intelligence, growing up staring down the Soviet barrel and all. Certainly they knew it could happen, or worse. Everybody knows armies roll across Europe now and then.
Probably like us in here, confusing what we want to happen with what may or will happen. I sure hope Putin's getting his ass handed to him - that doesn't mean he is.
Sooo good

If Putin uses thermobarics on civilians, I think that is the trigger for the risky "no fly zone" idea I had earlier... either that or just semi-plausible-denial attacks against Russian air and tactical rocket units by F-22, F-35, various stealth drones, maybe even B-2s. We have B-21s but not sure if they are combat ready...
Suddenly we wish we'd built the RAH-66 Comanche after all.
I’m now only able to stream one of the radio stations from kiev. 101.7… and it’s a lot of pretty dramatic talking and kinda heavy music.
I don’t speak Ukrainian, but I can sure pick up a vibe.
This is music you listen to in the locker room before a hockey game.
Why do so many of the captured russian soldiers have clear tape over their eyes?

The wind is blowing the other direction
I think the people and governments of Europe are now rooting for the Ukrainian people. And ready to fight with them. To some extent. I’m not hearing anything about Russia starting a nuclear war
Every hour ever increasing military support, logistics and more is openly discussed
Everyone understands that this was a line crossed. Your in a fight start fighting now
The statement from the NATO Secretary General. Russia has broken the peace and stability of the European continent
NATO. Has activated the ??? For the first time since it was formed
Sounds like Belarus ? Is also in the doghouse
There's countless videos that share the same theme - super young russians in captivity, all claiming they knew very little about the assault. Some saying they thought they were being deployed for a massive training mission and only finding out they're headed to war days ago.
Tons here https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/
Aww makes sense, thanks.
In a morbid way I really like this one

And it’s a reminder that Ukraine and Russia have been at war for the past 10 years
Not exacly John Wayne and the Sands of Iwo Jima.Quote:
Yeah I’ve been doing a lot of doom scrolling on night shift this week. Watching Ukrainian 19 year olds pop out of trenches and shoot MANPADS at helicopters then post it on TikTok. Crazy shit.

Crazy is that one of the top rated “news” hosts is a white nationalist Putin apologist.
This Reddit feed has lots of current info that typically gets confirmed:

Big air raid and paratroopers dropping in Kyiv.
Man. Ukrainians must all have massive balls or something. Props tho to the Russian soldiers here who just laughed when the car driver was messing with them. Could have ended very differently:

Looks like Russia is being cut out of SWIFT. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I am for this move as it is the harshest response we can make short of direct military engagement
Also Russia has said such an action would be considered a declaration of war. They don’t seem to have resources to act on it much, but time will tell. And definitely fuck Putin
Unconfirmed but highly plausible: citizens welding hedgehog tank barriers and making piles and piles of Molotovs

Ukrainian soldiers holding NLAWS and asking to be fed Russian tanks

Europe is getting in lockstep. Russian airlines barred from airspace, etc. The Putin brand/association is toxic. I'm hoping he over played his hand and fucked this up. As you said, time will tell. It's long overdue to break Russia/Putin tho. The tentacles of influence by the worst of our politicians, spy-craft / FUD, the nefarious trade deals and building dependence - he's been crafty.
But it may all come tumbling down. If so, it'll be a new day here. Here's hoping.
FUCK PUTIN
