Lol
Heard the wife scream and ask me to come into the living room. "There's a dead mouse behind the couch!!" As I go through "How the fuck did a mouse get in our house? It is sealed up pretty good, but maybe I should go get some traps, maybe it is a ground squirrel from outside? Shit! those things carry the plague. ".etc.... Turns out it was a leaf off one of our plants. I swear this lady has a doctorate.
Look honey, I’ve got us this new cool looking, (smart), thermostat!

Some of us poors have mini splits and/or window rattlers, so temp control requires more effort than just setting a thermometer

I am about to get me some of that Midea recall money. It will make life a little simpler if I go get an LG window rattler. Will miss that Midea though, because when it was quiet, it was really quiet.

I love my wife but JHC.
I used the >upstairs broom< too sweep up some stuff in our basement. Now it-s ruined for use in the upstairs, so I am going out to home depot to buy a new broom.
The old broom is now a >basement broom.<
Ha. I am familiar with the floor specific brooms and have made similarly egregious errors.

My wife has been watching copious amounts of hgtv. So i knew this was coming. Now she wants a $50k remodel and cries when I disagree and think we should scale it down a bit. Ugh

whats the pro move to make the post readable
first step, no apostrophy-s.
I don't know what
. Is about.
I was not able to talk my wife out of the full kitchen and bathroom remodel, it just wrapped up a week or so ago. And then we promptly moved.
if there were a most pointless food award i think iceberg would win i dont need to eat any of it ever again and i like lettuce
It's in the entertainment category. A blue cheese wedge with the right foods can be the bomb. Natural crunch instead of cracker crunch.
I store my e-bike in the dining room during winter so i donot think there is a remodel for that ?
Carbon wheels could sprice the decor up a knotch

I swear. HGTV has single-handedly been responsible for more marital tension than executives having publicly exposed affairs at Coldplay concerts.

Post in the quick reply box at the bottom of the page, not in the "reply with quote" link. If you need to quote someone, right click on the "reply with quote" to open their quoted stuff in a new tab, copy the quoted stuff, come back to the original page and paste that into the quick reply box at the bottom and post whatever reply you want.
Wife bought a new coffee maker (drip). It only keeps the coffee hot for 30 mins WTF?!?!. Old one kept it hot for 2 hrs. This new one is a POS. The old Cuisinart one was awesome, but the timer went out and she likes to make the coffee the night before and set the timer.
Is it a thermal carafe? I bought a Black and Decker thermal carafe one a few months ago, this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LU2I3V0 It keeps the coffee hot for a few hours.
If you still have the Cuisinart just put it on an external timer.
If simple solutions worked in situations like the ones in this thread, the thread wouldn’t exist, and I wouldn’t have laughed as much.
It’s not about the nail.
I also have a Cuisinart grind and brew and can say that the as far as keeping coffee warm, the Black and Decker seems to do the job just as well.
Real estate conventional wisdom is that you never come close to breaking even in that scenario.
Yep that's what I've always read also. As far as coffee makers are concerned, just buy a cheap Mr coffee at Costco they work great and last forever.
I bought this place from Dean the painter cuz he was gettin married and she had a house. Buddy did everything pretty well or well enough cuz he was atempting to build the ultimate-man-cave for himself so the place even has a huge bar but mainly this was like the only house i could afford without getting a job period cuz it had the income producing suite.
The Deaners marriage didnt last very long and so my long term tennant has been down there paying $$$$$ longer than Dean was married, she is doing all the gardening and this year got strong enough to cut the grass in spite of her last stroke
life is suite eh
BTW I had one of those B&D carrafe makers > 20 yars ago and they actutaly work fine if you are not into the whole coffee snob thing, not sure where mine went but for a cheap drip machine its good
That is conventional wisdom but is too broad. I remodeled my house, kitchen and bathrooms, for maybe $80k. And sold 5 years later for -- based on comps and other listings -- about $80k more than if we never remodeled. So sometimes it pays off. But while we didn't do any of the work, we carefully shopped for all materials and often chose things that were fairly cheap but looked high end or found bargains on high end stuff. That made a big difference.
Selling five years later is a bit different than selling immediately.
