I wish I could submit 4...
That ones definitely worthy, just pull one of the early ones. That's legit, right? Petrics?
Hard to compete with you NE guys (probably the only time you will ever hear that on TGR), especially since all of our leaves have blown away.

Unusual fall foilage. Giant puffball under a walnut tree. Walnut leaves in there too.

^^ Thanks man, but personally, I like my snow and aspen shot from page 1 better. This one's cool, but in all honesty, it's gimmicky (but fun to work up). To me, the first one makes more of a statement and is a way more compelling image, imho. But, I think both are strong images in their own right or I wouldn't have put them up. I could see the one above being used in some sort of ad campaign for allergy medicine or something like that. lol.
Still a week to go, so get out there everyone and SHOOT!!
Didn't catch the TS effect first, but you're right, it is pretty sweet. Doesn't matter if it's gimmicky -- if it's interesting to the viewer, it works. When I look at a photograph, I don't judge how good it is based on how it was created; if I like it, it's good to me.

I cry foul. Snow ain't a part of fall!!!
Sweet pics.
LOL! It is around here most years at higher elevations where the Larches grow. Check this set from 3 years ago, taken at the same time of year. Wish I could've entered some of these.
Thanks!
^ that last picture is quality.

That is very cool.
Strong entries in this one.
LAST DAY.... gulp
Yes, it is. Nice catch. I think this might be the single most famous fall tree in the whole world (for good reason). From the Portland's Japanese botanical garden, no? Lucky, it's in your back yard. I hope to see it with my own eyes one day. :)
Wasn't one of the rules that ornamentals don't count, only native foliage??
Ken
Just kidding, doumas.
Well, gee, that was so obvious.
let your photos do the talking kidz.
word to the wise: foliage isn't ONLY about the changing of colors... i just mentioned that as a suggestions.. the leaves are called foliage ALL year long...
My apologies. It was intended tongue in cheek. Maybe I should have put a smiley face after it or some other shit.
The Japanese Maple is sick.
