Today is Stein Eriksen's birthday. He was Heavenly's first Ski School Director for a couple years in the mid-50's, back in the early days when it was growing from a rope tow on Ski Run Blvd into an actual ski resort.

I recalled having seen a video a while back of Killy talking about not having skied for a long time, but I couldn't find it, or even remember if it was in a documentary, or whatever. In any case your mention of the article led me to a CNN interview where Killy talks about it at 1:55 into the vid.Quote:
