After you pick your jaw up off the floor from being exposed so early on by superior EC surveillance…
I have the 190 DPS Pure 112RP and my opinion is defacto to brownie’s comment.
Deflection being the biggest issue; input won’t lead to equal output which leads to disappointment.
You will feel like a very fast bumper car pretty early on in the day.
You will find EC snow much richer in water content and it sets up really fast. Significantly higher humidity levels affect the snow. So the deep freeze around here does not bring the cold smoke you would expect unless the humidity is low, which means never. You may want to be ready to sample a new kind of cold though.
EC old snow in the temperate winter requires a ginsu knife type ski unless you plan on swishing your way around the snow instead of playing in it. Any good snow and I’m on 107/185/wood. Any questionable or old snow conditions and I’m on 93/184/metal. Refrozen anything and you should be somewhere in the 80’s (84/182/metal) and mildly detuned sharps (ginsu knife).
If your 3pinning, then a little more length won’t have as much impact.
If heel down interests you, I have an atomic system ski (ginsu knife) that will accommodate anything short of gargantuan bsl that you can play a day in.
If you’re a newschooler than disregard everything I just put out here.
I really like the length of your jacket fer sure:biggrin:
The funny thing about that clownshoe kook is he is a Claybrook owner. See him on the webcam on the weekends loading for early ups on a regular basis.

Those pics are priceless VTF…
rontele- if you are going to be stuck riding weekends and can't choose your pow days, the DPS will get dusty. I pulled out my Voile Chargers about 10-12 days each over the past two years, but I live in a mtn town and can ride when I want.
Consider something no wider than 95 underfoot and damp for sat/sun days.
Thirded
Motion passes unaminously
I concur…….^^
I've heard epic ski is a great place for ec ski reviews.
Responded to the PMs. Sorry, I didn't see the notifications up top. Don't tele much anymore, but will likely do it out here if we are skiing hard pack conditions. Really liking Boston thus far, but still and will continue to miss Colorado.
More sense fer sure depending on what type of bc we're talking about.
And the rest of the poo flinging in the ECRC.
We just renewed the lease at the Jay rental house, bought the season pass to Jay and am ordering tickets to Wildcat soon. Bring on the snow. Looks like we could have white river of death skiing real soon. The GFS is looking cold.
dood, yer giving rog 1%?
that's actually pretty generous of you:)
where you seeing that cold air, rob? i saw quite mild till mid november save for a coupla nights here/there with fairly above freezing temps daily in the mountains. 75 today and man does it feel good!
the riding right now is as good as the best skiing we get evar!
Ahh, yes, work, work, work,
beer, ale, sandwich in fresh air
preparing for snow.
Are there any passes that are good for 3+ days at areas in VT and/or NH etc. that don't black out the week after christmas? Looking to get some skiing done with my brother when I go home for the holidayz and am looking into options to keep prices down. Would like to hit SB, smuggs, jay but any advice is great as I have not tried to fare the crowds before.
Agreed. Skis you liked elsewhere you'll like here. People ski tighter tree lines here, but if you're doing it right the snow is good, and longer skis float better and therefore pivot as well or better than short skis if you carry a little speed. It's nice to have something narrower and damper for spring and occasional resort skiing. I'm a fan of the Blizzard Bushwacker which handles ice well and bumps well, is light enough for touring. Subtle tip and tail rocker make it very versatile. Comes in a 187 now.
cool looking moon tonight.
Huh, maybe I should tune up my second pair of 90's. :D
Wet flakes this evening again? 39/28windchill
Stick season is nigh, awful windy right now to get a picture of the moon. It was nice a few nights back.
