I'm seeing less "mixed" precip for Saturday today. I haven't been up since my "accident" on the 8th.
Me and the boy will do our usual Saturday pilgrimage, fingers crossed 84 is open

Greetings from Whistler... skiing has been awesome the past couple days 😀
I had to rub it in a little
All sorts of funky precipitation coming down at meadows. Glad to finally have some of PR open again!
Light rain and mashed taters on the menu at mtb today
How are the road conditions between Portland and Meadows? Also how are the conditions at Meadows today? Debating going up on Saturday but not sure if it is worth it.

Anyone see the forecast for Lee Canyon? Pow days in Las Vegas! I'll be stuck at the office...

Great day at Bachelor today, if you stick to the groomed runs. It was actually spring skiing. The runs started corning up in the afternoon. 41 degrees in the WV parking lot at 3:30.
Low traffic on the hill, that was nice. Off trail was variable. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Conditions at T line were okay. More sun and less sleet than expected. Temps were hovering right at freezing point. Firm snow and no sense going off the groom.
It's looking like sleet tomorrow, but who knows, with this weather being so unpredictable lately.

Just got invited to Bend for some Bachelor skiing, heard about this ice storm on the radio, and wondering if its even worth the trip? Would be leaving tomorrow skiing Wednesday with some intermediate friends, then possibly solo into the weekend.
Would make the drive for average conditions, but if its terrible I still have time to make an excuse.

Snow quality, visibility & low hill traffic made for some day to remember riding. Red sticks ftw.

Well, red skis are the fastest.
Yup, no idea how the snow came in so light and dry this AM, but it was an exquisite dusting and blow-in. Skied like a hot knife thru butter
And tomorrow it goes to shit
Twas a great sleeper day

Looks nice. We're still drying off from Sunday.

Today did not suck. At all
Carry on
That extra 2000 feet of elevation sure is nice isn’t it? It was nice and schmooey at the SchmooDoo this afternoon. Oddly enough the south facing breakable crust was some of the most enjoyable off piste skiing.
Now I’m out here enjoying the full moon and calm before the ~storm~ *drenching*.

Wasn't open yesterday. Maybe this weekend, just in time for more ice
And none of the Ambassadors know when Summit will open either
jfc, i have one day on snow
Good News - NWX is being prepped to run soon!
Bad News - the electric motor failed yet again, so get used to slow rope speeds and the smell of diesel
Ullr’s tears will soak the snowpack this weekend
Tears? I thought the old fuck was having incontinence.
Vibes man. Hope you got that chainsaw running right and were able the clean up and that none of those trees hit anything important.
Don’t be feeling too left out though. I think many of us that are able to ski only have one day on snow too. I got a day on dirt, and a a day on ice, and a day in the rocks, and a day on wind-buff and not even the light fun kind. Today we get to water ski!!
My boy said his ski goal this year was to grind. Embrace the suck and find fun and achievement in the doing. He picked a prophetic goal this year and we are going along for the ride. “A bad day of skiing is still better than a good day at the office,” WM
Brake out the Frog Togs and let’s get some slush!
Saw is rolling again and helped me clear up the trails & road in our neighborhood. You guys got me back in the saddle quickly, thanks again!

I considered a pvc ski day but I promised my brother I’d measure his house so I’m gonna do that on a soaker weekend instead of missing a decent ski day
I’ll be thinking of y’all
Attachment 484543
A lot of y’all have been here a lot longer than me, what happens when you get 2 inches of rain? It was 41 and raining hard in the parking lot when I left MTB at 1:30 PM. Seems the glass is half full crowd says it will consolidate the base and refreeze. Seems the realist in me watches a lot of snow turn into a lot less snow and thinks there’s no way that’s good. Not to mention it might not refreeze anytime soon. I guess it’s like April in February with shorter days? Fuck if I know, but it seems like a mess. Off piste was like paper mache.
Epic pond skim day at SchmooDoo

Lake Doo that's fukd up. Cooling off end of next week. Back to loud powder.
Coming to ride bachelor sat-mon. Excited for exciting conditions.

Think of it this way, it’ll look like less snow but will be considerably more consolidated. 40f and rain isn’t a very good combination to melt snow. The midwinter snowpack can absorb a lot of water.

Good for the base, makes our spring season longer and deeper
