I've said it before and I'll say it again. These blanket statements are not accurate. We got $5K off and a 10 year, 120K warranty thrown in when we purchased a used Atlas in Feb. The 'rents got $6K off a new Telluride last month.Quote:

Sure, you can negotiate the price on a blob IF you take the loan from the dealer. If you have an outside source or will be paying cash the price will be (at least) $1500 above the advertised price and you probably won't get that first oil change for free either.
You drive a VW outside the first 30K miles, so it's a wash. You were however smart enough to get an extended warranty. Never drive a VW off warranty.Quote:

I don’t know what VWs deal is but friends of ours had a nearly new atlas partially wrecked (all side body damage) and it took 5 months to get parts and finish a repair. Thankfully the other drivers insurance picked up the bill on a 5 month long rental.
