Just bumping this since my 120's wil be arriving(hopefully) at the beginning of December(sorry marshal, when I ordered back in august I didn't realize you were a rep) and was wondering if the mounting point will be different in this years or if -2.5 is still the sweet spot.

    I hate you guys [/cartman]

I had to cancel my order after a blown head gasket depleted my awesome new skis fund. Though, they did send me the delivery status email a couple weeks ago. Maybe I'll be forced to come up with the money?
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

    Marshal,
Whats new this year? I got an email saying they were replacing all of last years skis and to ski mine until Dec then send them in. Must be something significant to warrant that. Said they weren't satisfied with quality.

the only issues are that they felt that some of the skis came out a little softer than planned, the mounting lines were not perfect, so some people remounted, and there was some topsheet chipping issues.

good companies stand behind their product. stephen wants to offer the best ski money can buy, and if it isn't perfect, he wants to make sure that it is.

soooo... i have ski'd the last 2 days on mine. one was a pretty sweet pow run (1800 vert 40deg), and the other was inbounds at loveland.

amazingly stoked. so much fun. so lively. they make tracked firm snow feel like pow.

i will prolly be on mine everyday its soft. and plenty of days when its not.

i hope my garage of iggy's don't get jealous...

trekkers. tour pretty well, except my 110 cut to 95mm waist skins kinda sucked. i have been working on mod'ing my trekkers to be alot stiffer. workign pretty well. i am throwing a through-bolt in the toe to see if that will help the pivot from loosening...

just posting to say that just when i'm relaxed about waiting for the dps, this thread resurfaces and gets me psyched again.

I hear ya, upallnight. Anticipation can be a bitch. I have 138's on order, but I'm trying to be disciplined and put it completely out of my mind until they arrive. In fact, I'm gonna try to have discipline to wait until everyone else mounts theirs up and provides feedback before I drill mine. I might hold out as late as January 10. We'll see if I actually make it that long...

fair enough. i think that around here it's not the greatest idea to use them before early jan anyway, as there is rarely that great coverage.

when'd ya place your order? the discipline thing worked for me from mid-april to early november...but around 6.5 months of waiting i get a little antsy.

every ski i've (pre)ordered this year has been delayed. we'll see what happens.

waiting a few weeks/month to mount the dps might now be so bad. i'm not in any paritcular rush to use them...i just want to fondle 'em!

    UAN,

I am in the same boat. The two pairs of skis that I ordered this season Lotus 120s and Jak BC100s have been delayed The anticipation is killing me.

I hope to get the Jak BCs by December and the Lotus 120s by Christmas.

I hear ya. The anticiaption of riding my Iggies is losing to my fear of multiple compressed edges.......on those skis at least.

hey, kya... you've been on them before (last season), right? or am i just imagining that. for some reason, i've been as excited about your iggies and that whole story of how you got them as much as or more than my excitement for any of my skis.

you truly have major willpower if you've held out!!!

iggy bases, though, are particularly bomber = less to worry about.

in the end, they're just skis; nevertheless, i'll probably try to hold off until the january (i hope!) storms roll in.

here's to discipline (yeah...easy for me to say when i don't have any choice!).

Ok, true I had them out last year on a wind buff day. But I'm talking about real deep blower pow. Thanks for being stoked UAN, that is totally cool, I'll be sure to let Kenai know about that

I have the 2005 lotus 120, and have asked to get them warrantied to the 2006/07 version, due to the well known top sheet issues for the first batch. But the 06/07 is also stiffer than the old ski. My question is how much stiffer the 06/07 model is.

I suppose you MarshO have gotten the newest model and should know this...
All work and no play, ... you know...
