    Interlaken

    Hey Guys,
I know its far out, but I will be traveling to Interlaken with my school the 18th -26th of Feb. I was wondering if anybody will be around those parts, I know its a long shot, and would like to meet up. I am only 16, which i know is young, and also from CT, which is another aweful part, but i do have a decent amount of BC expierience. I am pretty fortunate that my mom was an avide skier and lived out in CO for about a decade and Jackson for two winters and her passion for skiing lead to countless trips out West. I do have my own beacon, probe and shovel, and lots of practice with all, so please PM me if anybody would be willing to meet up.

I will be going to school in Switz next semester at a business school outside of Geneva(Leysin). I rode Grindelwald and Murren this past march. DEFINATELTY hit up Murren. Some awesome advanced skiing, amazing views, and just amazing in general. We were fortunate to visit after a 2 foot dump. Tracking out powder alllll day. But one note, there were several slide paths throughout the resort in and out of bounds...wear your beacon if you get a dump.

Repost this in a month or 2, and who knows, maybe I will just have to meet up with you!

These couple pics are from Murren...

mmmmmmmmmmm, so good to see that area again. I was out there last year in the summer (I know I know... not the same). But it's such an amazing region.

I've only been there in the summer too but it was damn fun! Went climbing, paragliding, bungee jumping and canyoneering.

And I agree - repost this in early Feb and see if you get any takers. I'm sure you'll have a great time regardless though!

Interlaken is a really fantastic place both in the winter and summer. If your thinking of skiing you can’t really go wrong on either the hills in the area they are all a lot of fun. Here’s a link to a post of mine from last year for some photos of the First and Männlichen / Kleine Scheidegg Area. http://tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44957 (just scroll down a bit)

If you want any specifics don’t hesitate to PM me.

Where all the people are is the main run down from the top.

Wengen / Murren has some awesome potential, but most of the people that ski in that area would get lost if they went more than 10 feet of the piste.

Also you can only buy race skis in Wengen, old school baby.
