Getting from East to Denver for minimal cash monies...

I need to get from anywhere in the north east (preferably NY, NJ, Easy PA or MA airports) to Denver for as little cash as possible. Have friends in Durango, CO and Im looking to do a Silverton trip. Travel from Denver to Durango is taken care of. I just need to get to Denver. Where can I find the best airfare rates. You are talking to someone who have never been on a plane before in 22 years on this earth, so this is all greek to me.

Jetblue.com From Boston: if you take the 915pm flight out, its 99 bucks the 1135pm redeye (arrives back in boston 515am the next day) is also 99

Look on craigslist too for people with airline ticket deals

I think southwest flies to denver too, from manchester

Specific dates would really be helpful as flight prices vary from day to day and month to month.

I did a quick Kayak.com search Boston--> Denver and it came up witha cheap flight in January for $172.00 IMHO that is a damn fine price RT from boston.

Southwest flies out of NH, also.

though the cheapest, and clearly most adventurous way to travel is the hound that is grey.

Kinda irrelevant to your specific question - but I found a flight from Orlando, FL to Denver, CO for $170 ROUNDTRIP ... bought it kinda last minute (2 weeks prior to travel) and I'm traveling around Thanksgiving dates (21st to 27th). Can't beath that price...

    Oh, and it's with SouthWest!

I figured this to be Truth but just checked for shits and giggles and Boston to Denver in mid February (with 7 day advance purchase) is $220 ($347 if you're inside of 7 days). Probably a 40 hour trip too. Although, clearly, the adventure factor cannot be quantified in mere dollars.
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube.
