I kicked off a small slough, but that was it. I skied it yesterday and dug a pit-mostly the entire snowpack was new snow from the last storm. Too bad that Scummit wind is already working its magic...nothing like 50mph gusts! So glad I moved back to summit this year.

We might as well be living in So Cal right now. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_foreca...lc&zone=utz008. The Colorado crew definately deserves major props for delivering the early season stoke. Watching you guys go off is pretty much torture at this point.

Nice, very nice. I'm so freakin' jealous. I hiked up to 8,000 feet Saturday (the Washington equivalent altitude of prolly about 11,000 Colo feet) and there was like 3 inches of snow.

    well that went well...so far.

Nice photos. Do the ridgelines in Colorado ever hold snow? Seems like from most TR's one could do tennis shoes on ridges all winter long in CO.

the ridgelines are basically windswept most of the time. you are stoked if you can skin them, rather than booting. but its october. i am stoked to be booting at all...

    Nice pics.

On a REGULAR season powder day, I think Loveland ski area is LESS crowded than the pass.

Just think you guys....if it was snowing right now, we'd end up working less, and we'd have less money.

I could be riding the sled I bought that I've never ridden, but gas is expensive and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy it.

I have unlimited days to places that ski really good when there's snow, but my bosses are happy to see my initiative to go to work this time of year.

It's all for the better you guys..............

    OK. I'm full of shit.

IF IT DOESN'T SNOW SOON, I'M GONNA STAB SOMEBODY IN THE FUCKING NECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
