Maybe, like myself she is older and can't be bothered negotiating with you anymore. Just easier to ask for forgiveness than permission at this stage of my game.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Yeah she doesn't want to negotiate on what type of car I think is best for her, even though my opinions are GREAT. She is going to get the car she thinks is best. Just like I don't ask her what skis I should buy.

Pretty bent out of shape today. The old ball and chain is always killing my dreams of moving where skiing is an hour away rather than 6+.
That and no sleep due to a fussy puppy last night and I am ready to check into the divorce thread.
Hopefully I feel better after a nap. FML...

Very much a real thing. Matt Walker discusses it extensively in Why We Sleep.

What's stopping you from traveling and spending an extensive amount of time where you want to be? Sounds like some time apart would do you guys good anyhow.

I give my toddler a bath every night, mom reads him books and tucks him in. For the last month or so the bathwater had turned ice cold after filling up about 2/3 of the way. I replaced the shower cartridge twice, inspected the mixing valve and did a whole bunch of googling, but was still stumped. Until Sunday night when i needed to run downstairs to grab a stuffed animal while i was running the bath. While down there i heard some faint beeping coming from the tankless water heater and a ERR10 message displayed. Ugh, an issue with the heater, but hey atleast i know where the issue is now (its an issue with venting apparently, so ill have to snake that). I mention this to my wife that i finally figured out what the hell was going on and she goes "oh yeah, i always wondered where that beeping was coming from the water heater while you were drawing the bath". She could have saved me 3 trips to home depot, $100 and hours of labor/research had she bothered to mention that very obvious important bit to me previously. JFC.

Sure i'm not married but I have been married many times ergo i qulify to give input so I got a good one

i lend my former GF my truck to tow a small trailer to a retreat things go sideways literaly and she jackknifes the trailer into the rear fender of my not new but in good shape nice tidy 5 yr old Ranger i had bought new

bunch of wanking around getting the fender fix paint matched becuz the ford factory thro's some tint in the paint on the dark silver buddy bodyshop manager sez to me it doesnt match so I gota do that paint again sorry this is taking so long but it turned out almost a perfect match in the end

Insted of saying gosh sorry and offering to pay the 300 deductable or even just saying sorry I paid the 300 and gf sez to me I do not see why you bothered getting that fixed ?

becuz i had read the wifeing manual I said nothing so why say nothing why not demand the 300 ?

becuz it was just the cost of doing business eh so I spent a fair amount of money time ect on her but i dodged the bullet and now do nothing for her

Perhaps next season when the pup is a year older. Actually, that is a great idea, thank you.

Mrs Diamond Joe (this morning); "you know what the most irritating thing you do is?" (oh boy here we go) "chopping those fucking strawberries every single morning! like, why can't you chop a bunch extra for the next day or something??" (I dice up a few frozen strawberries every morning to add to my smoothie - without dicing them up, my little Ninja personal blender wouldn't be able to handle them.)

I said "if me chopping strawberries is that irritating to you, well thats a YOU problem. Not a me problem"

    Awfully quiet around here today!

    A true classic.
Could be its own thread, all the versions of “you know what you don’t do?”

Hey riser 5. It’s not hard to pry up most center console covers. You can use a flat head screwdriver. But a plastic pry tool is safer. Once removed unplug the switches. With no power you can fully rinse them in the sink as long as it’s fully dry before reinstalling. A detailer is likely not to do this and just poke at it with qtips.
