Wow the forum is fucked. @wilcox510 I was responding to your tour wrap question.

I do find they are much better once broken in. It was painful, but 12mm was ultimately the right call to get the fit I wanted.

I'm in a tour wrap in these and it's a much better fit, tours fine but definitely less ROM than the stock liner. I also have the issue of removing space in front of my ankle / lower shin right in the "kink". I can crank the tongue way down, but that makes my sole hurt for the downhill. If I don't do that the fit is kind of sloppy on the way down and given the upright-ness and stiff-ness it's hard to have good control. On the uphill they work great, no pain points, transitions are smooth etc.

    Dynafit Ridge boots (and bindings)

    Interesting mod.

4th outing today with my Ridge Pros

Tried spoiler which helped a bit on forward lean and also tightening down more on boa and lower cuff buckle but still excess room

    All
    With stock liner

Did try tour wraps in MV, which is twelve mm thickness

Too much foam, could barely buckle the boot

Think I have to try nine mm which is low volume

Have the tour wrap lv coming in tomorrow

I'm not sure about the tongue/boa swap, but a better power strap would certainly be nice. For now I use the hack to tighten it a bit and then throw the Hoji lock.

The floating tongue is pretty crucial IMO to getting the heel hold I want (for my foot at least).

As to 12mm vs 9mm tour wrap: I could barely buckle as well once I started, but I still stand by the fit once baked and broken in.

I've never wanted them to be more forward lean. I like a neutral stance anyway, and I generally ski these with Hoji's which prefer a centered stance anyway.

Are you guys ordering your intuitions in the same size as the boot shell? I’m ready to get rid of the stock liner

I am using a size 28 9 mm Intuition Tour Tongue Liner in my 28 shells and I'm happy with the fit and performance.

    Whatsupdoc

Did you ski the stock liner at all?

If so, how did it compare to nine mm tour tongue?

    Slightly thicker than stick liner?

I didn't ski the stock liner. I had some more instep pressure with the stock liner compared to a baked intuition.

I added a small ramp under my heel to get to a more neutral stance and take some pressure off the top of my foot. I also ditched the stock liner and replaced them with a Tour Wrap DD (12mm). After baking and many relatively painful days with numb feet I'm happy to report that I am super stoked on the uphill and downhill performance of this boot.

I ended up just tying some thin paracord around the lower buckle for attaching leashes to, but the "official" solution looks nice enough (though probably too smal for my ATK leashes to attach to).
Do you have to do liner or foot then foot in boot.

Dont heat intuitions in the oven, on stacks with liners in boots.

I used the rice sock method that Intuition recommends, and went "aggressive" with ~10mins in the microwave and ~10mins in the liner. No footbeds to heat, but added them before putting my foot in. I aggressively clamped them down (especially the BOA), and stomped my heels for a nice pocket. I also had toe caps on. Mine was a 27 liner in 27 shell, and I was definitely worried about the upper boot being able to get tight enough. One thing to check is ensure everything is lined up correctly and the tongue is under the outer shell. That bit me a few times early on.

9mm might be a much more comfortable route btw, but I used what I had and am happy with the result. Might be worth chatting with skimo.co to see what they would suggest. The stock liner is much thinner than a 12mm Intuition.

I was going to mold some new DD tour wraps in these. And then figured I’d never get in and out of them. Kind of hate they put rubber dots on the bottom that make racer style more difficult.

Can’t really imagine getting into the boot with the tour wrap already in there. Can you???

I was able to get into the MV tour wrap with it in the boot, but just barely

I molded the MV tour wraps with them in the shells, wasn't harder than any other molding job

I think it’s clear but that was a liner that hadn’t been heat molded, just trying out the liner

I have tour tongue liners in lv and mv

Bummed tour wrap lv’s got delayed and aren’t arriving in time

I’m going to the ship now to suss things out

    Dynafit Ridge boots (and bindings)

    Long story short

Ended up with MV tour wraps in my Boots

Twenty six size liner for same size boot

Heated entire in oven prior to molding

    Wasn’t that bad pressure wise

Glad my bootfitter had the confidence and experience to go this way

Tried MV tour tongues and they didn’t feel like they had enough foam at abd above ankle to address my concerns

    Sorry for all the questions.

After oven heating did you do on foot then in boot?

Just seemed like it wasn’t going to go when I looked at it. (I’ve done a load of intuition but this seemed a no go).

    Dynafit Ridge boots (and bindings)

    No problem.

    Liner out of oven

    Footbed in liner

    Foot in liner

Then foot and liner into boot

    Went in pretty easily, surprisingly
